Embroidered Evening Shoes - 18th C. Look
#6141

4941 - c. 1894 ROBITSEKS VIENNESE Yellow Satin Evening Shoes! Never Worn! Wow!  So rare to find antique shoes with nearly pristine soles!  Wonderful label.  Just makes you ache to know why she bought these shoes and then never wore them!  Was the ball cancelled?  Did her Gentleman friend disappear? Was she Cinderella?  Oh, and WHAT a color!!  Bright yellow satin!  Someone questioned whether the yellow satin ribbon was original, but matches so well... hard to believe it isn't.  Measures: 10" long x 2.5" wide. Curved heel.  Great piece for your shoe collection.  Rare find indeed!

#6141 - c. 1896 RARE Exquisite F. O'NEILL MAKER, New York Embroidered Floral Evening Shoes in the Manner of Late 18th Century!

SOLD

#6042 - c. 1905 Black Kid Multi-Strap Buttoned Shoes Embroidered in Copper Beads!  Never Worn? These are my last pair of multi-strap beaded shoes.  These are black kid leather with great copper beads that "pop" off the black base!  Well... you think they are black until you get them into the light and then you realize that they are more of an eggplant color... with a unique patina! Indescribable!  Slightly metallic.  Wonderful! The condition is amazing, near mint (I think I only see 2 beads missing) and unworn soles.  OK, they may have been worn once on carpeting, as the leather looks broken in. But hey, what do ya want for 100 years old! Still a superb pair of shoes! Measures: 10" long x 2.75" wide.

#4952 - c. 1910 Ivory Satin Beaded Wedding Boots! Be still my heart! These are the kind of antique beaded ivory satin wedding boots that should be tops on your "wish list".  Or if you want to buy the perfect gift for your antique-lover sweetheart... look no farther!  Not only are they gorgeous, but they are also (unbelievably) a wearable size! Even the interior is a pretty blush pink satin! MOP buttons are all there.  Excellent but not perfect condition... there are a few of the clear beads missing (very few!), minor wear of satin at back, minor dirt marks and slightly darkened heels.  Measures: 10.5" long x 2.75" wide.

#3224 - c. 1905 Dove Gray Elaborately Clear Beaded Cut-Out Multi-Strap Shoes! One of the finest pair of beaded Edwardian shoes you will ever see!  5 button closure on each shoe. There is no label I can find, yet there is a highly defined "GB" on the sole.  Curved Louis heels which was the high fashion of the time.  Lovely dove gray elegant color.  Beading is all done with small clear beads, and a few slightly larger clear beads. 10" x 2 3/4" wide.  One first inspection there look to be no beads missing.  On close inspection you will notice mostly the larger beads missing, but due to the fact that all the beads are clear, any missing go practically unnoticed.  I have had these on display in my own home for years! So you know I love them!!!  :)  However with my recent move, some of MY collection will be going up!  Waaahhhhh for me!  But lucky you!

#3642 - c. late 1930's RARE Beaded and Sequin Black Spats and Matching Gauntlet Cuffs! I have never seen anything like this before!  And frankly hate to sell them as they are so unique, not to mention beautiful.  But it's my job to offer up the best on my website, and not horde, so .... here they are!  Tall black wool fabric spats with heavy metal zipper at back and leather strap to be worn around shoes.   Measures:  13" tall spats, 7" tall cuffs. They are in Great condition, with a few issues... two of the larger red beads are missing, the buckles are rusty, and one tooth missing is in zipper, but works fine.

#4951 - c. 1915 RARE Red Canvas Bathing Shoes! Wearable size!  Looks like this girl may have liked to just sunbath, and hardly hit the water! I assume she preferred to attract the attention of the men on the beach, especially with these racy red canvas bathing boots.  I can only imagine what her bathing suit looked like!  Excellent, near Mint condition with only minor dye run which means that the trim is more pink than probably originally whiter.  But it's quite consistant, so you can barely call it a problem! Measures: 9.75" long x 3" wide, so they are a wearable size! Loads of fun and definitely a collectors piece!

#5250 - c. 1930's Brown Canvas and White Leather Trim Strappy Shoes! From the Estate of ANITA LOOS

#2232 - c. 1920's LAIRD SCHOBER & Co., Philadelphia  - Vogue's - Hand Made, Cincinnati Gold Leather, Brown Silk and Floral Silk Evening Shoes!  A gorgeous pair of Flapper shoes that do fit me on my 6.5M foot.  I've keep this pair for years in my personal collection as I just love the look of these!  They aren't perfect, but you just have to overlook the issues and soak in the beauty! The photos will show that the gold leather is slightly worn into a reddish hue in a few areas, and it's a bit worn on the heels.  However these are not that big a deal... it's really the fact that they need a shoe repair, as one of the straps has lost a bit of length, so one shoe can't buckle.  So if you want to wear, that needs to be done.  If you just want to collect (as I did), it won't be of any importance. If perfect, they would be at least twice this price!

#5413 - c. 1940's LEVANT by Vartuli, Made in Argentina Black Satin Platform Peep Toe Sandals with Rhinestones!  Argentina, huh?  You know how those people who believe they've had multiple lives always seem to have been someone famous... like Cleopatra?  Well, we can do the same thing with these shoes... let's see, 1940's... Argentina... Evita Perón! Hey, you nev-ver know!! ;)  Gorgeous black satin with very tall platform with tiny rhinestones at front on design that looks like gathered material!  Probably about a size 6.5 N.   I can get my foot in it, but not far enough as it's too narrow for my slightly wide foot.  ALSO I have a VERY high instep, and this strap is way too short for me... but again, I'm not normal... I can wear very few strapped shoes. GREAT if you can fit them!! Excellent condition.  NEW LISTING!

#4936 - c. 1895 Abalone Natural Female Ostrich Feather Evening Brise Fan! If you love the movie "Somewhere in Time", you will remember the scene when Elise McKenna (Jane Seymour) is fanning herself with her ostrich feather fan in the theater.  This one is unique for its natural two-tone white and taupe feathers and the gorgeous extra fancy mother-of-pearl sticks and finished off with a satin baby ribbon and a tiny bow at each guard.  There is an original tassel which includes a circle loop to tie around the fan for closure! See photos! Excellent, near mint condition.  Measures: 16" high x 26" across fully opened.

#9888 - vintage $10,000 HERMES, Paris, Made in France Claret Colored Crocodile Constance Purse with "H" Closure! UNUSED!!
Often called the "Jackie-O" purse - as she wore this shoulder bag so often that people asked for the Jackie-O bag! This fabulous Hermes purse comes to me directly from the estate of an extremely well-to-do woman who has supplied me with many of the top-end designer gowns and furs previously sold on this website.  It is guaranteed authentic!  Gilt metal hardware and "H".  Looks unused on the interior and exterior with just some extremely minor scratches on the "H"- likely just from storage. Measures: 7" wide x 6" high x 1.5" deep (18cm x 15cm x 3cm). Shoulder strap is 41" long (104cm), but converts to hand strap just by grabbing it differently.  As I have been reading up on this purses, according to Hermes, they state that this Constance bag holds a $10,000 value.  You won't find a bag in better condition!
