Worn On-Screen in the Movie
"VALLEY OF THE SUN"
[ORDER ITEM - #5973]
Click on image for additional photos!#5973 - c. 1942 LUCILLE BALL Screen Worn Gray Wool Suit Worn in Movie "VALLEY OF THE SUN"! Yup, a rare early Lucille Ball movie worn 2-piece suit. The label is written in both the jacket and the skirt, and reads "Ball's Double" which just means that there were more than one of these outfits produced for the movie. Usually happens if a piece is worn in more than just one scene... but it does NOT mean that it was worn by a stand-in or double for Lucy. Measures: up to 37" bust, up to 29" waist, 44" long from waist to hem skirt. Condition is quite good for an old wool suit! There are a few small moth holes, and one larger hole (not all the way through) that I show in photo. There is a bag of lace cuffs that were likely the original lace at the cuffs. The lace currently on the suit is newer, but looks really nice, so I'm selling as you see it. As you can see from the photos, Lucy wore this suit with a puffy sleeve shirt under... and a bonnet (wish I had those as well, but we're just lucky to have this survive all these years!!!). NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 6/8

Worn On-Screen in the Movie
"PRIVATE PARTS"
[ORDER ITEM - #7465]
Click on image for additional photos!#7465 - c. 1978 era From the 1997 HOWARD STERN's Autobiographical Movie, PRIVATE PARTS! MOVIE WORN Trained Wedding Gown Ensemble! Worn by MARY McCORMACK! This is the COMPLETE WEDDING ENSEMBLE worn by Mary McCormack in the role of Howard Stern's first wife, Alison. Trivia: Julia Louis-Dreyfus was originally cast as Alison, but backed out to spend time with her family. I just thought that was interesting. But now back to the gown. Meant to be worn off the shoulder (or just off the shoulder) is this lovely white applique covered organdy gown with puffy sleeves. Comes with the ORIGINAL SCREEN WORN headpiece, lace trimmed veil, white shoes (approximately size 10), and.... are you ready for this... the white satin underpants. Seems appropriate for a Howard Stern piece! (I'm not a fan.... but my husband is... and now he's gonna be a judge on "America's Got Talent", so I'll reserve my opinion until I see/hear him OFF his radio show. Excellent condition for all pieces!! Measures: 35/36" bust, 26" waist inner waistband, but can be slightly larger waist, 44" long from waist to hem in front, 60" long in back. Back zipper. Elastic shoulders to wear off-shoulder. This isn't a high quality couture gown... just a pretty gown over a rayon underdress. There are very tiny spots under and on lace, and a tiny bit of dirt along the hemline, but still great condition. The price reflects the movie memorabilia connection!!! Also Listed in the Wedding Category. NEW LISTING! $ 985.

I have a lot more information and photos coming, but my computer died, so I'm trying to get back up and running. Meanwhile.... this EXTRAORDINARY, SUMPTUOUS gown arrived and I just HAD to get up at least one photo! The gown weighs an astonishing 9 pounds and the half slip under weighs ANOTHER 9 pounds!!! I have no idea how they moved in these gowns, but they did! I have photos of the gown onstage, and also photos of the original sketches by Michael Stennett (thank you Michael!!). The gown is in a wearable size of 35" bust, 27" waist and 41" long from waist to hem in front, 70" long in back. Excellent condition!! This gown was designed by Mr. Stennett for Susan Patterson and created by the San Francisco Opera Company, and then worn by June Anderson the following year for the same production. June Anderson's name is inside the gown, and Susan Patterson's name is inside the slip. Huge gold bullion tassels hang down the front, metallic embroidered fabrics.... just a masterpiece! Stage Worn Gown in Shakespeare's
"AS YOU LIKE IT"
[ORDER ITEM - #7382A]
Click on image for additional photos!#7382A - c. 2002 ERIC WINTERLING Fantastic Heavy Canvas Stage Worn Gown! I can't stand cheap, poorly made pieces, so when I find unique and wonderful custom made costumes with couture level skill, my heart skips a beat... or two. I have to say I'm mildly addicted to these fabulously made and designed costumes. Perhaps it's because they can evoke so many different eras. And perhaps it's because I wish I could time travel and this is the closest I'm gonna get. Anyway, this gown came to me after I sold another costume from the SAME production! Originally I had to research and track down more info on the first gown, so... I contacted Eric Winterling, Inc. (the costume shop that created the costumes for Broadway's "Wicked" and "Wonderland", etc.) and they were sweet enough to forward me photos of the last gown in production at their 2002 shop!! Both this, and the previous natural canvas colored gown were designed by Marina Draghici (Tony Award winner for "Fela") and worn for William Shakespeare's "As You Like It" for the character Rosalind in the 2002 National Tour by The Acting Company. The gown is, indeed, a one of a kind. The dress was worn for the first scene by the actress Jessica Bates (who I also contacted to complete the research on this gown!). As she wrote to me, "I believe that the costume designer's original intent in making all the costumes out of canvas was that we were to look like living works of art, like paintings that had come to life. I felt extremely honored to wear such an incredibly crafted garment! It still blows my mind when I think about how difficult it must have been for them to sew all those pleats into the canvas! Say hi to the dress for me!" I call this the "banishment dress". It was in this dress that I was banished from the kingdom and had to dress up like a boy to disguise myself in the woods. Ain't theatre grand? The dresses were the ultimate in Victorian wear, because you feel as if you are wearing a corset without wearing one!" NOTE: the gown is extremely heavy and stiff a it is created from black canvas!!!! Front hidden zipper. Rolled shoulder detail. High wired neck collar. Faux corset bodice is attached to the skirt. The bodice is beautifully stenciled with white bits of "fairy dust". A WORK OF ART! Shown with crinolines that don't come with the gown. Measures: 32" bust, 24" waist. Also Listed in the 1930-Today Category. NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 0/2

Suit Worn On-Screen in the Movie
"IRON MISTRESS"
[ORDER ITEM - #5928]
Click on image for additional photos!#5928 - c. 1952 ALAN LADD Screen Worn Bone Colored "Linen" Suit Worn in Movie "IRON MISTRESS"! Alan Ladd Suit! So cool when a movie item is SO easily identifiable, as is this suit jacket with the unique "w" lapels!! Beside the lapels, the most interesting thing about this suit is the unbelievably tiny waist on the pants... barely 30" and 29" instep!!! My god he was tiny! I read that it is presumed that Mr. Ladd was 5'6" tall, but they also wrote "he could have even been shorter". This suit came to me from the same museum as the James Cagney suit and Errol Flynn jacket, etc. Both the jacket and the pants have the same Warner Bros. tag with handwritten date of 3/31/52, Production: 780, Name: Alan Ladd, and then there is a number of 5988 and "2 pc. suit" and then the number 1825. The jacket has the classic design elements of the 19th Century with the waist seam, wide "cuff seams" on the sleeves, and double buttons at the back. The pants have a metal zipper on the side (to give a sleek fit) and stirrup elastic at the pants bottom. I have the word "linen" in quotes as it looks like linen, but feels like a man-made fabric. Excellent condition. Fully lined jacket. More PHOTOS COMING! NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 36 - Men's suit size
AUTHENTIC - ROBERT WALKER
Vest Worn On-Screen in the Movie
"TILL THE CLOUDS ROLL BY"
[ORDER ITEM - #5924]
Click on image for additional photos!#5924 - c. 1946 ROBERT WALKER Screen Worn Checked Double Breasted Vest Worn in Movie "TILL THE CLOUDS ROLL BY" as seen in Movie Still! Robert Walker vest! New to the market from the original MGM auction! Wow, what a cast in this MGM movie!! Starring June Allyson, Judy Garland, Kathryn Grayson, Van Heflin, Lena Horne, Van Johnson, Dinah Shore, Frank Sinatra, Cyd Charisse, Angela Lansbury and Robert Walker in the lead role in this light bio-pic of American Broadway pioneer Jerome Kern. I just watched the movie and this vest is on Robert Walker in the scene where he is sitting next to Judy Garland (!) in the theater, and then in the following scene with Lucille Bremer. The vest is very distinctive, and easily seen. The vest is in great condition with just some marks on one lapel. I think it's funny that in the movie still, Mr. Walker is folding his glasses into his pocket and that stain seems to line up perfectly with the angle of the glasses!! The buttons are cute goldtone and still have what seems to be a bit of enamel on them. 3-pockets in the vest. Tan silk back. Measures 44" around, 19" long from shoulder to hem. (though I'll have to try this on a guy to get the actual size). Fantastic piece of Robert Walker memorabilia., or for googlers, "Robert Walker screen worn" costume! :) NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 40-44 R (will double-check!)

#5923 - c. 1962 MAURICE CHEVALIER Screen Worn Black Velvet Vest Worn in Movie "IN SEARCH OF THE CASTAWAYS" as seen in the Movie! Maurice Chevalier vest! OK, I haven't watched this movie yet, personally, but it was just so easy to find a few photos of Maurice Chevalier in this vest, that I figured I'd save the 2 hours! :) The vest is very distinctive, and easily seen. The label is from M. Berman in London and the "Chevalier" written in blue ink is quite faint, but you can still make it out. The vest is in great condition ... and I particularly love the corset detail at the black silk back! Fantastic piece of Maurice Chevalier memorabilia., or for googlers, "Maurice Chevalier screen worn" costume! :) You can watch Maurice and Haley Mills during this scene on YouTube... use the link under the photo of the vest! :) NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 44 R (will double-check!)
AUTHENTIC - SPENCER TRACY
Vest Worn On-Screen in the Movie
"THE SEA OF GRASS"
[ORDER ITEM - #5921]
Click on image for additional photos!#5921 - c. 1947 SPENCER TRACY Screen Worn Gray Flannel Vest Worn in Movie "THE SEA OF GRASS" as seen in the Movie! In one of the movies with the classic pairing or Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn! Spencer Tracy vest! This is a difficult movie to locate to watch, but a friend of mine happened to have access, and sweetly sent me a copy! The vest is fairly distinctive with rounded lapels. Mr. Tracy is wearing a similar vest in the stills but that vest has higher lapels. I watched the movie to make sure the vest I'm selling was worn on-screen, and as you can see from the screen captures in B&W, the vest matches! Even to the point that the last button seems to be sewn in the incorrect location, so the vest "gapes" onscreen AND in the photo you see of this vest at the left! Whoo Whoo! The label is Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer with "Sp. Tracy" and the correct movie numbers. The vest is in great condition. Fantastic piece of Spencer Tracy memorabilia., or for googlers, "Spencer Tracy screen worn" costume! :) At some point, this vest was worn by someone named "Yaeger". FYI: The Spencer Tracy "Col. James B. Brewton" two jackets and pair of pants from "Sea of Grass" sold at the Debbie Reynolds auction for $3,000+ in June, 2011. I hope whoever purchased those will be thrilled to find this matching vest from the movie!!! :) Oh, and don't be confused by the coloration of the vest in the poster. It's just some artist gone amuck as you can see from the more accurate lobby card, even though the movie is in B&W! :) NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 40 R (will double-check!)

AUTHENTIC - GREGORY PECK
Pants Worn On-Screen in the Movie
"HOW THE WEST WAS WON"
[ORDER ITEM - #5922]
Click on image for additional photos!#5922 - c. 1962 GREGORY PECK Screen Worn Mini-Plaid Pants Worn in Movie "HOW THE WEST WAS WON" as seen in the Movie! Gregory Peck pants! The Gregory Peck gray period suit and vest from this movie was sold at the Debbie Reynolds auction in June, 2011 for $4,000+. (showing photos of the suit shown on display for the Debbie Reynolds auction, and you can see these pants match.. so these were doubles or additional pair worn in the movie). According to the Reynolds auction, these pants were worn by Gregory Peck as "Cleve Van Valen" aboard the paddle steamer when he reunites with Debbie Reynolds "Lilith Prescott." The pants are quite distinctive due to the mini-check or mini-plaid wool material. The label is MGM Studio Culver City with "G. Peck" written in ink, along with the original label from the MGM auction. The pants are in great condition, with just a smidge of wear to the very edges of the distinctive curved pockets. Additionally, the pants were hemmed up (now let down) and they were taken in at the butt at some point (which remains), as I don't know if this was done for Mr. Peck or someone who might have worn the pants after, as the waist now measures 38", and according to the label, Mr. Peck might have had these tailored to a 33" (?) waist. The inseam is 34" (after I let them down), which is correct to the label. Fantastic piece of Gregory Peck memorabilia., or for googlers, "Gregory Peck screen worn" costume! :) NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 38" Waist, 34" Inseam
AUTHENTIC - CHARLES BOYER
Brocade Vest Worn On-Screen
in the Movie "GASLIGHT"
[ORDER ITEM - #5925]
Click on image for additional photos!#5925 - c. 1944 CHARLES BOYER MGM Wardrobe Floral Satin Brocade Vest worn in Movie "GASLIGHT"! Charles Boyer Vest! Since there are no production numbers written inside this piece, only the MGM Wardrobe stamp ,we have to go on the sighting of this vest in the movie "Gaslight". I watched the movie and found the vest in the scene where he agrees to take Paula to the concert, and changes out of his smoking jacket exposing this vest, front and back, and proceeds to unbutton it... so you can clearly see the 7 buttons. You can tell from the placement of the flowers on this vest, that it's the same on-screen. Too bad the movie is in B&W or this would be so much easier to identify. "Chas. Boyer" is written in ink directly on the vest lining. There is a "38" which I have to presume is the size, and in addition, there is another hand written inked "Jack Dodds" written also on the lining at the bottom. Now Jack Dodds was only in 4 movies (according to IMDb), so you may see this vest in any of these additional movies, "Kismet", "The Band Wagon", "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" or "Party Girl". Luckily Mr. Dodds' movies are "A" movies as well! :) This vest is gorgeous. Floral orange and golden yellow brocade on a blushing beige satin. The buttons are fabulous as well... with a cut steel (I assume) to sparkle in the light (one lower button was replaced.... the others are all still there... Mr. Boyer probably had to do this scene a few times and loosened the button). And as Charles Boyer's character, Gregory Anton, was obsessed with jewels, it seems certainly appropriate that his buttons would sparkle! :) FYI, Charles Boyer's burgundy velvet smoking jacket sold for $7,995 at the Debbie Reynolds auction in June, 2011. The condition is very good, though the very edges of the bottom are worn (see photos). NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 38 Mens

AUTHENTIC - JAMES CAGNEY
Warner Bros. Pictures - Dated
"YANKEE DOODLE DANDY"
[ORDER ITEM - #5907]
Click on image for additional photos!#5907 - Dated November 13, 1941 JAMES CAGNEY Screen Worn Suit Worn in Movie "YANKEE DOODLE DANDY"! Worn extensively in the Beginning and End of Movie in Final Song and Dance Scene! A James Cagney Suit! Direct to this website from Museum Deaccession!! As good as anything you might have missed in the Debbie Reynolds' recent auction when Marilyn Monroe's "Subway" white dress sold for a mere $5.4 million! :) From James Cagney's most important movie... from his Oscar winning performance in Yankee Doodle Dandy. James Cagney's morning suit. Both the jacket and the striped pants have labels and are both dated 11-13-41. From all the research, the only movie he was filming at that time was "Yankee Doodle Dandy" ("YDD"). He had completed filming of "Captains of the Clouds" in August, 1941. Also note: Most of the filming of "YDD" occurred AFTER the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Seen extensively in the movie in the first scenes of Cagney and the final song and dance scene of the movie! The jacket is labeled size 40, and the pants are short 28" inseam (Cagney was short!). Excellent condition on both pieces. There is a VERY VERY VERY faint "doubles" that you can barely see hidden inside, but I found it and photographed it - which means there is another of these suits out there somewhere... but this has the WB dry-cleaning tag so it was indeed worn by Cagney! Recent comps for Cagney sales from "YDD" are: Cagney's "YDD" Tap Shoes sold for $9,440. in Dec. 2010 at Profiles in History auction; Cagney's "YDD" Jockey shirt sold for $27,500. and Cagney's "YDD" Clown outfit sold for $15,000 both on June 18, 2011 at the Debbie Reynolds' Auction; and Cagney's "YDD" 3-piece suit and suspenders sold for $11,950 in April, 2010 at Heritage Auction. So.... a "James Cagney suit" (this is in quotes for google searches! :) still holds his value, and certainly for this iconic role... well, you know what they say... buy the best you can afford, as the best will always retain value!! NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 40 Short

AUTHENTIC - ERROL FLYNN
Warner Bros. Label - Dated
Worn in "SILVER RIVER"
[ORDER ITEM - #5908]
Click on image for additional photos!#5908 - Dated June 12, 1947 ERROL FLYNN Screen Worn Greige-Green Wool Frock Coat (or Jacket) Worn in Movie "SILVER RIVER"! An Errol Flynn Jacket! Direct to this website from Museum Deaccession!! As good as anything you might have missed in the Debbie Reynolds' recent auction when Marilyn Monroe's "Subway" white dress sold for a mere $5.4 million! :) From "Silver River"... with great photos of Mr. Flynn wearing this jacket (sorry, these are just jpgs, I don't have the lobby card). This piece has the museum labels as well as the Warner Bros label. This is marked "Doubles" which means that more than one was created for the role as it would have been worn for so many days of filming that more than one was necessary. In researching comps for this jacket, there is another website that has a SOLD sign up for the matching jacket (also with the doubles stamp) from "Silver River" (along with the pants) and though they wouldn't disclose the selling price, they wrote back, "For your Errol Flynn Silver River piece we would estimate it at $4500 - $6000." However, they had the pants (and this doesn't). The condition is likely the same as theirs. They list theirs as "Both garments are in good screen used condition with minor evidence of age", I'm more specific... this frock coat has some fading/discoloration that is mostly seen under bright photography lights, and one tiny moth hole in upper arm (see photo), otherwise great. Additional comps: Errol Flynn's “Don Juan de Marana” dark green two-piece suit from Adventures of Don Juan sold for $15,990 on June18, 2011 at the Debbie Reynolds' auction; and Errol Flynn's two-piece green & beige tweed suit from "The Sun Also Rises" sold for $3,000 on June, 11, 2010 at the Profiles in History auction. My sources tell me that Errol Flynn pieces are highly coveted, so... You know what they say... buy the best you can afford, as the best will always retain value!! And that would be Errol Flynn's screen worn jacket. NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 43?

AUTHENTIC - GEORGE SANDERS
Warner Bros. Stamps - Worn in
"LLOYDS OF LONDON"
SOLD on LAYAWAY#5911 - c. 1936 GEORGE SANDERS Screen Worn Shocking Satin Frock Coat (or Jacket) with Rhinestone Buttons Worn in Movie "LLOYDS OF LONDON"! Damn I love this one!!! My favorite of the bunch other than the Cagney! Direct to this website from Museum Deaccession!! As good as anything you might have missed in the Debbie Reynolds' recent auction when Marilyn Monroe's "Subway" white dress sold for a mere $5.4 million! :) From "Lloyds of London"... with great photos of Mr. Sanders wearing this jacket (sorry, these are just jpgs, I don't have the lobby card). I was researching and found the New York Times review of the premier in 1936! Check it out: http://goo.gl/TdlHz. Here's some additional info that you might be interested in from my "source": "Notice how it has the United label as well as the Warner Bros. stamps. That's because WB bought out United Costumers in the mid 40's and acquired all of their stock, putting it into their own wardrobe dept. So it's interesting that a costume from a 20th Century Fox movie would have WB stamps in it. And 20th C. Fox had United costume for this movie, even though they typically used Western Costume." Crazy! That goodness I surround myself with smarty-pants people. I like to think I'm one as well! :) This frock coat isn't in pristine condition, but still remarkable.. even still having all the original rhinestone buttons! There is wear at the cuffs, edges of neck, and a bit on the shoulders (see photos). But MY GOD... what a color!!! How sad the movie was B&W! The next item up will be a frock coat labeled C. Aubrey Smith. I don't know from what movie, but ironically he was also in Lloyds of London! :) NEW LISTING! $ 2,500. SOLD on LAYAWAY

"LLOYDS OF LONDON"
[ORDER ITEM - #5909]
Click on image for additional photos!#5909 - c. 1930s/early 40s C. AUBREY SMITH Screen Worn Frock Coat (or Jacket) with Velvet Trim! Worn in Movie "LLOYDS OF LONDON"! A C. Aubrey Smith Jacket! Oh, sorry, that's SIR Charles Aubrey Smith... he was knighted by King George VI in 1944 for "services to the theatre". And if you check out his imdb, you will see the long list of dozens of movies he was in... so though you may not know his name, you WILL know his face! Direct to this website from Museum Deaccession!! This jacket is also from the movie, "Lloyd's of London". A friend (thanks John!) watched the movie and found it! :) The collar looks like it was slightly altered since the movie to reflect a more 19th century collar, but all in all the same. You can easily see what they did... just a quick cut of the collar to shorten it a bit. Here's another fun fact about C. Aubrey Smith: Born in 1863 in London and went to South Africa to prospect for gold in 1888-1889, where he developed pneumonia and "was wrongly pronounced dead"!! SCARY!! Anyway, back to the jacket. The condition is quite good, but not perfect as there is some wear to the velvet trim, and there is a large "water mark" (see photo) on front to the left of the buttons, and one tiny moth hole. NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE ?

AUTHENTIC - Douglass Dumbrille
MGM Tag - Worn in "FIREFLY"
[ORDER ITEM - #5910]
Click on image for additional photos!#5910 - c. 1937 DOUGLASS DUMBRILLE Screen Worn Wool Frock Coat (or Jacket) with Braid Trim Worn in the movie "THE FIREFLY"! Direct to this website from Museum Deaccession!! My "Deep Throat" source tells me this is from "Firefly", the Jeanette MacDonald movie. OK, so you don't know his name, but over his long and successful career, Douglass Dumbrille had roles in more than 200 motion pictures, and with the advent of television he made numerous appearances throughout the 1950s and 1960s.... so again, you will probably recognize him. He had the unusual ability to project the right balance of menace and pomposity required to be an effective heavy in comedy films, such as those of the Marx Brothers or Abbott and Costello. Here's another fun fact: After a long marriage, his wife Jessie Lawson died in 1958. In 1960, at age 70, Dumbrille caused a stir when he married the 28-year-old daughter of his friend! In response to criticism of the May–December marriage, Dumbrille answered: "Age doesn’t mean a blasted thing....We don’t give a continental damn what other people think."[Wikapeadia]. This cranberry colored wool frock coat with black braid trim jacket is in fantastic condition! I had to search to find anything wrong... and found one tiny professional repair. In addition, there is a inked "Jerry Gotham" in the jacket.. so the only thing I can find re: that is perhaps it was worn on Broadway in the original production of "Hello Dolly" in 1964, as that seems to be the only time Jerry Gotham was on-stage as an Ensemble replacement. Just guessing. Otherwise it's a great early 1930's MGM wardrobe piece worn by a character actor. NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE ?

Click on image for additional photos!#5912 - c. 1940's Medieval "Maid Marion" 2-piece Burgundy Velvet Bodice Outfit with White Skirt Trimmed in Velvet Bow! Direct to this website from Museum Deaccession!! This outfit came to me from the same museum collection as the fantastic movie worn pieces above. However, this outfit has NO labels or stamps or anything, so your guess is as good as mine as to what this might have been created or worn for. The bodice has a heavy metal zipper up the back which will date it to the 1940s (I believe). The skirt is a white rayon, and not as well-made as some of the finest movie costumes (yet certainly not a cheap imitation as you'd find today!!!!). So... if you love the look... then buy it! Great for your own costume wear, or theater production. Love the upper mutton sleeves. Lace cuffs. Little buttons at the front faux corseting. Full skirt is shown with a few petticoats under.. but they don't come with it. Measures: 34/35" bust, up to 28" waist, 35" long from waist to hem. NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 6

Click on image for additional photos!#7419 - c. 1930's - 1950's HOLLYWOOD Gigantic "Swashbuckler" Leather Belt! I am putting this belt up on the website, but won't sell it until I can identify it. I was told it may be Errol Flynn's belt, but until I find a photo of him or someone else wearing it... it will just remain a "museum piece". So for all you website groupies of mine who just LOVE to help.... If you've seen this anywhere, just email me and get a finder's fee! :) Errol Flynn is wearing a belt just like this in "Captain's Blood" (he wears one with round buckle like this, and another with rectangular buckle if you happen to be looking), however.... this looks just too wide to be that belt. There is some very faded writing on the back of the belt, but it's impossible to read, and I don't even know if it's numbers or letters. :( Measures: 5" wide, 7" buckle, and to the first (or last, I should say) belt hole, the belt measures 35" around. Very heavy metal buckle, and well made. There is some residue from what might have been a tag at the front. I'm sure that can be removed, but I'm leaving as I found this in case that helps to identify this. "Good Luck, Mr. Phelps." (that's a quote from "Mission Impossible" if you don't know). AUTHENTIC - BARBRA STREISAND
Owned and Worn at 1968 Oscars
[ORDER ITEM - #7265]
Click on image for additional photos!#7265 - c. 1968 BARBRA STREISAND Worn at the Oscars! This is the ACTUAL AUTHENTIC (and likely one-of-a-kind) gown worn by Barbra Streisand on April 10, 1968 at the Oscars Academy Awards Ceremony, at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, Santa Monica, California. Ms. Streisand presented the Oscar award for Best Song. American singer and actor Sammy Davis Jr. (1925-1990) posed with Barbra as he accepted the Oscar on behalf of Leslie Bricusse, who received the award for the song 'Talk to The Animals' from the film, 'Doctor Doolittle.' I'm not sure who the designer was... there is no label as it was custom made, but I have to assume it was Arnold Scaasi as Barbra wore many of his pieces and this has that Scaasi look. It's a black velvet horizontal stripes on netting with rhinestones of various sizes scattered all over. You can see that all the rhinestones are placed exactly where they are in the photos of Barbra's dress.... which is just an additional confirmation that this is "the" dress. There is also an attached numbered tag... presumed from an old auction. The dress is sheer, and has a nude lining attached underneath. The gown is quite structured, and as you can see... quite low cut at the bustline and underarms. Measures: 32" bust, up to 27" waist, up to 37" hips, 58" long from shoulder to hem. Excellent condition with just a pulling of the dress away from the zipper at the back waist... a simple fix! Inside you can see a light "B. Streis" hand-written on the upper back lining. NEW LISTING! Also Listed in the Museum and Barbra Streisand Categories. $ 25,000.

COLIN FIRTH's Movie Outfit
[ORDER ITEM #4970]
Click on image for additional photos!#4970 - c. 1998 COLIN FIRTH's Wedding Costume as "Lord Wessex" from the movie "Shakespeare in Love"! Designed by Sandy Powell! Extravagant and highly adorned gold beaded 2-piece costume from the movie. Custom made outfit as seen on screen includes the original studio wardrobe tag. Doublet with ruffled collar, cuffs, waist and shoulders. Breeches (or knickers) are equally elaborate with corseted waist and laced-up knees and puffy legs. Exquisitely made - this is NOT one of those cheaply designed/created movie outfits... this is the top of the line! Best you can get!! Worn on screen with a cape and hat... those pieces doesn't come with the outfit. But obviously terrific... enough so to be awarded the OSCAR for BEST COSTUME DESIGN! Reportedly, Miramax studio executives wanted to make sure the men wouldn't look "silly" in their tights, so Powell made the jackets a little longer than was historically correct. NEW LISTING!

Click on image for additional photos!#4309 - c. 2003 (c. 1930's Style) Worn in Movie "Seabiscuit" Fantastic Taupe with Brown Windowpane Plaid Men's Coat of Silk / Linen Blend! This was a huge undertaking in costuming this film - and Head Costume Designer Judianna Makovsky was nominated for the Oscar for Best Costume Design for her work. Much of the costuming was done using many authentic period pieces. On “race days” there were as many as 650 extras to outfit! Makovsky used not only wardrobe services, but combed 35 different costume and archival facilities throughout the country for authentic period pieces. The fact that this coat was specifically made for the film, rather than a vintage piece, I have to assume it was important for some scene or actor. I'm sorry, I don't know who might have worn this coat in the movie... and although I LOVE it, I haven't watched it to see if I can find out. But really, this is more about the coat than the connection to the movie. It's really quite stunning styling. Obviously was worn by a wealthy racing patron as this has it all. Wonderful material, shape, style, color, detailing, tailoring, buttons, craftsmanship, etc., etc., etc. Love the belt that buttons over the double-breasted front, and even hides the belt loop at the back. Wear the collar up, or down, or open. Excellent, near mint condition. I say it's a silk / linen blend, and I believe it is, but can't confirm that as there are no tags as it was, again, custom made for the movie. Measures: 54" chest, 50" long. Easily wearable as your new favorite coat! NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 44L MENS

This is yet another custom made coat for the movie. The fact that this coat was specifically made for the film, rather than a vintage piece, I have to assume it was important for some scene or actor. I'm sorry, I don't know who might have worn this coat in the movie... and although I LOVE it, I haven't watched it to see if I can find out. There are also no labels, but this was obviously worn by a horse trainer, or someone connected with the horse stables as it was designed to look slightly "distressed"... like it's slightly sunbleached over time (but no other look of wear). It's a heavy cotton with 2 over 2 patch pockets at front, cuffed sleeves, and simple shape. Could have been a worn as a duster motorcoat. Measures: 52" chest, 50" long from shoulder to hem. Excellent condition, but again, meant to have some "faux fading". Brown with brown vertical striping. NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 44L - 46L MENS

LAKE BELL in the Movie
"Over Her Dead Body"
[ORDER ITEM - #6538]
Click on image for additional photos!
#6538 - c. 2007 MARC JACOBS Light Blue and White Cotton Dress with Red Leather Clutch Purse! Worn by LAKE BELL in the Movie "Over Her Dead Body"! Should I confess? Yes, I suppose I should because it's possible we will be wearing the same dress if we ever meet! :) That's because I bought TWO of these dresses from the movie set of "Over Her Dead Body". I just couldn't bear to sell the first one I bought (as I look damn good in it), so I got this other one. You are buying the only one with the red leather clutch purse she wore ( I just pinned it to the dressform, but you can see it's either a clutch or has a hand strap.) I don't get a purse, I got only one of those so it's yours :( If you watch the movie you will see why they had more than one dress/purse... because in the scene she is buying a hotdog at a vendor and manages to squirt mustard all over the dress and purse. So they certainly needed additional dresses for re-takes. Luckily this is NOT the dress that was "slimed". Marked size 4. I guess this proves that I size larger as I would call this a 4/6. Measures: up to 35" bust, up to 30" waist. Excellent condition. This would have cost more new, even without the movie connection... or purse!!!! NEW LISTING! Also Listed in the 1930-Today Category. $ 465.

Wonderful summer dress on its own (hey the SATC costumer stylist, Patricia Field is no dummy... she knows a great dress when she sees it!) Modified halter with lapelled collar, full skirt, designed from a terrific soft pastel colored "leaf" printed linen. Labeled size 8 measuring up to 36" bust, up to 30.5 waist, 40" long from shoulder to hem. Excellent condition, like new. Love the zipper at back that doesn't open all the way to the top! As you can see...print dresses have the print different locations on the dress, and frankly, I like this one better than the one worn by Kristin Davis. Can be worn with or without a belt (none comes with it, but just will change the look slightly). Wear with a little cardigan sweater to look very vintage 50's. NEW LISTING! Wonderful summer dress on its own (hey the SATC costumer stylist, Patricia Field is no dummy... she knows a great dress when she sees it!) Labeled size 4 but measures up to 37" bust, up to 28" waist, 25" long from waist to hem, so must have been mis-labeled as it's more like a size 8. Excellent condition, like new. I haven't seen any other Donna Karan / Maeve Carr pieces... except if you Google search you will see another sold at the Barbra Streisand Julien's auction, so obviously Babs (being the Karan devotee she is) wore some of these rare pieces. #7187 - c. 2010 Rhinestone and Crystal Encrusted Bra Worn by VANESSA WILLIAMS In "Ugly Betty" TV Show! From Season 4 Episode "Million Dollar Smile"! Created by The Blonds - Philip and David Blond, New York!! This is THE (only one was created!) rhinestone and crystal encrusted bra worn by Vanessa Williams in the ABC TV Show "Ugly Betty". The rhinestone bra was the focal point of the entire 4 year series run as (if you didn't watch it) Betty caught her braces on $1 million bra and the only way to disengage her without hurting the wildly expensive bra was to remove her braces! As if Ugly Betty wasn't enough... even MORE exciting is that this bra was designed and created by Phillip and David Blond of The Blonds who have been creating spectacular designs since 2008, dressing the biggest A-list celebrities: Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Fergie, Rihanna, Debbie Harry, Pink, Dita von Teese, Adam Lambert, and on Carrie and Samantha in "Sex and the City 2." I spoke to David Blond re: this Ugly Betty bra and was told that there created three size A cup rhinestone bras (as you see on the mannequin and the runway model), but only ONE of the fuller cup (size DD) which was worn by Vanessa (in a quick "dream" sequence). He then went on to tell me that the retail price for this bra would be $5,000 (!), with the smaller ones at about $2,500-$3,000 each. But this is a one-of-a-kind piece as it was ordered by the Ugly Betty prop department for use in production. This item was received from ABC and comes with an Official Studio Certificate of Authenticity. So.... if you want what all the A-listers are wearing... it's The Blonds! Near Mint condition. AUTHENTIC - CLARK GABLE
Worn in "Idiot's Delight" Movie
[ORDER ITEM #7288]
Click on image for additional photos!
#7288 - c. 1939 CLARK GABLE's Black Wool Tailcoat Jacket Worn in "Idiot's Delight"! The Only Movie Mr. Gable Sang and Danced in ... at he Highpoint of His Career... the Same Year as "Gone With The Wind"! There is a reason Judy Garland sang "You Made Me Love You" to a photo of Clark Gable in "Broadway Melody of 1938"... Because he was Hollywood's biggest male star in the late 1930s! He portrayed Rhett Butler in "GWTW" by popular demand! This black wool tailcoat jacket is in great shape, and purchased from the MGM Studio auction in the 70's. The proper MGM label is attached inside which reads "Metro Goldwyn Mayer, CL Gable" and has the number 1056-4554. #1054 is the MGM production number of the movie "Idiot's Delight", and as you can see from this photo, the jacket is obviously correctly labeled! Mr. Gable wore this very jacket while performing the tune "By the Light of the Silvery Moon." If you go to Youtube, and search for "Clark Gable & Chorus", you will see this clip! (This is the only film in which he performed a dance number. He spent 6 weeks rehearsing the steps. Because of his fear of messing it up during a take, the set was closed during the filming of this sequence!) The jacket is also the correct size for Clark Gable. Though there are no size labels, Clark Gable wore a 42 jacket (found on other costumes of his) and was listed at 6'1" tall. As you can see, jackets were worn a bit tighter than today, so this is how it will fit you if you wear a 42L jacket. The condition is Excellent for a historic costume piece of over 70 years old!! Not an issue from the outside, but the back of the inner collar has been glued down. I'm told it was received that way from MGM studios, probably by wardrobe. No moth holes or tears except for one small tear on the seam of the collar (which I have provided pictures of), easily mended... though I like to sell these memorabilia pieces as I find them. This jacket is definitely a very rare and unique item. This item is guaranteed to be 100% authentic. NEW LISTING! (more photos coming) $ 5,850.

Bergman Label with Handwritten "Miss I. Bergman"! Thanks to Joe (thanks Joe!) I can show you a photo of Ingrid Bergman wearing this gown! Rare to find photos of costumes worn on stage, but we lucked out with this lovely c. 1901 style cotton gown. The photo is from the theater program of George Bernard Shaw's Captain Brassbound's Conversion at the Cambridge Theatre, London in February 1971 where Ingrid portrayed Lady Cicely Waynflete. After the play closed in London, the play was revived on Broadway, New York in April 1972, but closed after only 16 performances. The theater program is sadly not included with this gown, but you can print out the picture... as you can see, Ms. Bergman signed it! The gown was created by the well-known M. Berman Ltd, Costumier of Irvin Street, Leicester Square, London. Excellent, near mint condition! Cotton with silky rayon lining. Both the inner and the outer dress close with a row of hooks and eyes. Measures: 35" bust, up to 26" waist (23" inner band you don't have to use!), up to 38" hips, 63" long from shoulder to hem (17" to waist, 46" waist to hem). Doesn't come with the belt that you see Ms. Bergman wearing onstage (hardly worth mentioning, but hey... you should know everything, right?). Again, this gown is extremely wearable, and in near mint condition! NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE 4/6

Gifted from Tom Cruise!
[ORDER ITEM #7310]
Click on image for additional photos!#7310 - c. 1999 ROSIE O'DONNELL's AUTOGRAPHED Black Leather "Top Gun" Toddler Jacket Given to Rosie by Tom Cruise! So you probably know that Rosie O'Donnell had a top rated TV Talk Show from 1996-2002. During that time, Rosie would often talk about her major crush on Tom Cruise... so much so that Tom was the conclusion of the entire series in a video featuring Tom who had cut Rosie's grass and said, "Rosie, I cut your grass, and here is your lemonade." So.... seems Tom gifted Rosie at some point with this "Top Gun" black leather jacket for her adopted son, Parker (born 1995). However, when Parker outgrew it, Rosie autographed the jacket and donated it to a charity auction where it was purchased by/or subsequently acquired by Richard Wilson, a well-known dealer in memorabilia. This piece came to me from his Estate. It will come with a COA from Antiquedress.com explaining this history. This toddler sized leather jacket has the correct Tomcat patch on one arm, the Top Gun and eagle patch, metal zipper front on front and a curly faux fur collar. Quilted lining. Really adorable!! It's marked size "M", but it's probably for a child ages 1or 2. Great piece to frame!! Excellent condition. NEW LISTING! $ 245.

[ORDER ITEM #5435]
Click on image for additional photos!#5435 - Dated October 2, 1929 Black Satin Formal Vest Owned and Worn by CECIL B. DEMILLE from Chas. Levy & Son, Los Angeles! Comes with c. 1929 Black Tuxedo from the Same Lot! Ah, if only I could go back in time to ask Mr. DeMille where he wore this! I've been researching as much as possible to give you as many answers as possible, so here's what we've got: 1) Chas. Levy & Son was a tailor for many Hollywood notables, including found examples for Tom Mix (specifically a beige gabardine suit with black leather trim. Label reads Chas. Levy & Son, Los Angeles / Mr. Tom Mix / 1922. That suit sold for $17,000 in 2006!) and Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle (famous actor whose suit sold at auction labeled: Chas. Levy & Son /Roscoe Arbuckle/ 3/10/27. Don't know what it sold for). And then the eerie tidbit I found from February, 1937 when William Desmond Taylor (actor, successful film director of silent movies) was shot and killed in a Chas. Levy & Son labeled suit!! Eek! OK, now 2) 1929 was the year of Mr. DeMille's first talking picture, "Dynamite", so I'm sure there were many galas and other movie premieres. 3) The end of October 1929 was the date of the famous stock market crash leading to the Great Depression of the 1930s. So this vest was made when the money was still flowing. 4) Though I don't have a photo of Mr. DeMille in this vest or tux, the Getty photo of Mr. DeMille I DO have was taken in 1929, so you will see he wore double-breasted. Now for the SUIT: The DeLuxe-Craft Manufactured exclusively for Todd's, Los Angeles tuxedo doesn't have a DeMille label, and as a fact it has a dry-cleaners tag of a "Corbett". I can't explain why, other than supposing that someone has worn this tux over time named Corbett. Doesn't mean it was the original owner. The pants have a 32" waist, and 31" inseam (seems approx. the right height for DeMille though you will read he was 5'10" or 5'11", that's incorrect from the photos you will see of him standing near Louis B. Meyer who was said to be 5'3", he seems to be more mid-5' height! Both the tux and vest are in quite Excellent condition with extreme minor issues. Vest has a bit of tear inside lining near neck. The tux has a teeny moth bite on back waist area (not seen under jacket). Possible 40" chest size (I need a Ken doll to check size). Possible 37" waist vest. Note: these items have been owned by the current family since 1988 Both the vest and tux were sold to her as a set, purchased from a local thrift store about 10 miles east of Los Angeles in San Gabriel, CA. The ladies at the thrift store pointed her to the tux and represented that it was owned/worn by Cecil B. Demille. NEW LISTING!

[ORDER ITEM #7260]
Click on image for additional photos!#7260 - c. 1991 JULIANNE MOORE Worn Green Sequin Halter Gown with Silk Ruffles and Original Long Green Gloves from the HBO Movie, "Cast A Deadly Spell"! You know, I KNEW I liked this gown when I first saw it....even without knowing for sure what movie it was from, but knowing it was a Julianne Moore gown. Once I discovered the movie, and photos of Julianne wearing it (thanks Joe!), I realized why I was drawn to it. Because this is a "vintage" look gown... as this movie plot takes place in 1948, so it's a recreation of that era. This gown certainly does evoke the era of the 1940s screen sirens! And how beautiful this gown was on the redheaded Julianne (the photos from the movie can be seen by clicking on the photo at left). The gown is in Excellent condition, Near Mint. The gloves are strangely discolored. I have no idea if they were like this originally, as it's hard to tell from the photos, but I'm assuming they weren't? Anyway it's the gown that's so fabulous... the gloves are free! :) Measures: 32" bust, 24" waist, up to 34" hips, 55" long from shoulder to hem in front (sort of, as it sweeps around from front slit) to 60" long at back. You have to see the deep padding in the bust... I guess Julianne needed some help back then! :) Very small size. Yeah, OK... this dress came from the same collection as the verified Julianne Moore green sequined gown I'm also selling. I was able to locate (thanks Joe!) the particular movie and photos of Julianne in that gown. Sadly I have yet to find photos of Geena Davis in this dress, but I'm sure with enough time I will! So, at this point, I'm selling this as a fabulous Fabrice dress with the only provenance provided by StarWares. If you don't know Fabrice, "his sparkling evening wear symbolized the glamour of the 1980s, died at age 47. Known professionally by simply Fabrice, he dressed actresses, models and socialites in show-stopping gowns that were elaborately beaded and jeweled. Among the notables who wore his gowns are Iman, Whitney Houston, Natalie Cole, Beverly Johnson, Ivana Trump, Shirley MacLaine, and Christie Brinkley. In 1981 he won a special Coty Fashion Critics Award for his beaded dresses". This dress was sold at the prestigious Giorgio, Beverly Hills (I KNOW you've heard of THAT!). Measures: 42" - 49" long from shoulder to varied length hem. Labeled size Medium... stretches to fit, so impossible to measure. Shown on a 35/25/36 mannequin so you can see how it fits her. VERY VERY VERY low bustline, so you might want to shorten the straps. Very good condition, as there are a few beads missing, and a couple light spots (one at hem front, the other front hip) and one perhaps make up larger spots on interior only (see photo). Very clingy, sexy, and very 1980s! Selling at exactly the price you would have paid at StarWares! If I find a photo of Geena in this dress, watch out as the price might go up! NEW LISTING! Also listed in the 1930-Today Category.

Liza Minnelli Back Up Dancers!
[ORDER ITEM #3656]
Click on image for additional photos!#3656 - c. 1993 LIZA MINNELLI'S TWO Backup Dancers' Red Sequin Jumpsuits Designed by Tony Award William Ivey Long with the Barbara Matera Label! Where to start.... first off, I have TWO of these... exactly the same worn by dancers Sue Delano and Jessica Sheridan (their names "Miss Delano" and Miss Sheridan" are inside). These gals were selected by Liza as the only two dancers for the 6-month national tour after Liza's Radio City "Steppin' Out" and "Live at Radio City" encore show. I spoke to the lovely Sue Delano on the phone for all the inside scoop! These jumpsuits were designed by the prolific award-winning Broadway costume designer William Ivey Long in the "Halston" style - as Liza specifically requested! As you can see in the photo, the dancers carried tambourines, and Sue told me they wore tambourine earrings to match! :) These jumpsuits were only worn for the first few cities of the tours, and then the concept was changed, so these are still in great condition having only been worn a few times! Excellent condition. Oh, check it out... the sequins are a cool red/black tiger design. Jessica Sheridan is 5'4" tall. Sue Delano is at least a couple inches taller. Were worn with heels. "The Young and the Restless"
[ORDER ITEM #7189]
Click on image for additional photos!#7189 - c. 1999 DOLCE & GABBANA, Made in Italy Floral Silk Dress with Matching Strappy Silk Sandals as worn by HEATHER TOM on "The Young and the Restless"! Not only does this a gorgeous silk dress have the matching printed silk sandals, but it also has the TV provenance. This dress and sandals were worn by Heather Tom of "Young and the Restless" for an episode (when she was on a date with Gary), as well as on the cover of Emmy Magazine. Her autograph is on that magazine as well. The dress would likely have been $1500+ new, and the matching silk sandals at least $400+, and this is without the special provenance. Came from a silent auction in 2000 of a Y&R Fan Club Event. Comes with that catalog and invitation. This was one of the highest priced item in the catalog. This dress has an attached black A-cup padded bra (which can be padded even more as it has "pockets") sewn in by the costume people on the soap opera to be worn as you see with the black straps showing. Looks quite nice don't you think? Sandals are in perfect condition worn twice. The dress also worn only twice is perfect except that damn Heather somehow got a bit of dirt near the bottom of the dress (see photo of hemline and look up from there). It's light, but it's there getting nearly totally lost in the print. Oh, the only other thing to say is that this is one of the tightest hemlines!! VERY wiggle walk! Don't try to step up on a bus. Or get a seamstress to open a vent at the back seam. I believe this dress is from the 1999 collection. NEW LISTING! Also Listed in the 1930-Today Category.

AUTHENTIC - CHER's COAT
[ORDER ITEM #7201]
Click on image for additional photos!#7201 - c. 1990's CHER's Jeweled ETRO, Milano Light Oatmeal Colored Wool Coat! Oh my word! Now I still haven't found any photos of Cher in this coat, but it's going up anyway and I will keep looking. I prefer to sell memorabilia pieces with absolute provenance, but every once in a while the vintage piece is special enough even without it... and this coat was sold as Cher's through the prestigious Julien's Auctions along with many other Cher and Marilyn Monroe pieces. I haven't seen another Etro coat like this! It's not meant for warmth, but for beauty even though it's wool. Check out the close up photos to see the detail!! Condition you ask? Excellent, though perhaps a bit (and I mean a bit!) dingy, or this is the color it was meant to be?? Hard to know for sure. It's less ivory and more a light oatmeal color. Love the interior wild colors!! Measures: up to 34" bust, up to 32" waist, up to 36" hips, 35" long from shoulder to hem. You can see how it's fitting the size 6 mannequin of 35/25/36... it's great if you don't wear anything under (or wear lightweight clothing under), otherwise it's gonna bit a bit tight as the back is slightly smallish. Even without the Cher provenance, this is the price you would pay for a coat like this!! An new Etro Embellished silk coat is currently listed for $5,060... not nearly as fabulous as this! NEW LISTING! Also Listed in the Memorabilia Category.

#4349 - c. early 1960's Iconic Custom Cream Sequin and Silk Satin Sequined Trimmed in Black Sequins Sailor Evening Suit! Comes with COA Signed by Barbra! From Barbra's 2004 Auction to benefit her Streisand Foundation, comes this incredible, iconic evening sailor outfit!!! This 2-piece gown is from the same era as those Barbra wore during her first concert at the Cocoanut Grove and on the Judy Garland Show... only this one is fancier! I'm not sure exactly where she wore it, but it's certainly something with enough research you will likely find out for yourself. So rare to find any Streisand pieces available. Even more rare to find one SO identifiable as "Barbra Streisand". Cream silk satin long skirt with sexy 22" side slit and rear zipper. Meant to be hidden grosgrain waistband is slightly boned. Matching cream silk sailor style "v" neck top heavily embellished with cream and black sequins featuring an affixed decorative sequined tie and upper front snap closure and side zipper. Both pieces weighted at bottom hems, so perhaps wore for outdoor concert??? White lining. There is sequin losses (auction called it minor sequin lose, but it's most than I'd like. Also the sequins on one sleeve are slightly warped, or melted like Barbra got too close to a hot stage light!). Still in Excellent condition for a rare museum piece. Wearable if you must. Please be careful, and treat with museum respect. But heck, if you are hosting a Streisand event, it's a must! Measures: Skirt: 26" waist, up to 38" hips, 42" long. Top: up to 36/37" bust. Note: it's creamier than shown in photos. NOTE: Barbra Streisand's Superman T-shirt (yes folks... a T-shirt!) sold for $6,000 and the signature sailor top (just the top) at left sold for $28,800!! #4343 - c. 1970 Extremely Rare CECIL BEATON Designed Gown and Shawl for "On A Clear Day You Can See Forever" Purchased from the Collection of BARBRA STREISAND! The Paramount movie was released in 1970, starring Barbra Streisand with costumes designed by the legendary Cecil Beaton. This gown, along with some others, was cut from the final film to the great dismay of Mr. Beaton. "Cecil Beaton expressed disappointment that some of his exquisite gowns were cut from the final film. “Now I see the film and see the appalling waste due to the fact that no one had prepared a proper script,” he wrote in his diaries. “One whole ballroom sequence with B.S. in dark red satin, and all the others in specious stoned velvets, has been cut. B.S’s best dress cut, many scenes cut, and the laying down of cobbles in Lansdowne Crescent (Brighton) and the hedges especially built, all unnecessary, all cut. If Alan Lerner had delivered a carefully considered script, many hundreds of thousands of dollars would have been saved … It may be said that I was well paid for the job and that is all I should worry about. But that isn’t the whole story. I really sweated to see that things were perfect, and that is the only way I can work. But if another job arrives along that I don’t really believe in, will I remember the lesson of On a Clear Day? I rather doubt it.”One has to assume that Cecile Beaton was talking about THIS gown as "B.S's Best Dress" as this is the one Cecil decided to photograph! Deep red silk velvet full length empire style gown with train, having attached nude silk under dress, featuring seven oval shaped cutouts revealing underdress, edged with gold bugle beading and decorative gold metallic thread flowers. "Paramount" label with handwritten notation "Barbra Streisand". The gown is accompanied by a matching long velvet shawl, ends featuring large, full double tassels. Snap hook and eye closures. Built in bra label reads "Saks Fifth Avenue". The photos of Barbra wearing this gown were taken by Cecil Beaton! A postcard of the photo accompanies this gown, as well as the COA. Very Good Condition with occasional loose threading, a few tiny holes at lower front. Cape is Excellent condition. Measures: 33/34" bust (A cup bra), up to 32" waist, 58" long from shoulder to hem, 110" x 22" long scarf with 7" tassles. NOTE: the Cecil Beaton Audrey Hepburn ascot gown from "My Fair Lady" sold recently for $3.4 million! Oh, and Barbra Streisand's Superman T-shirt (yes folks... a T-shirt!) sold for $6,000, her "Owl and the Pussycat" outfit sold for $15,600, and her signature sailor top sold for $28,800!! At another auction at Christie's in May, 2007, a two-piece orange gown from "Funny Girl" sold for $33,600! Also Listed in the Museum and Barbra Streisand Categories.
NOTE: Cecil Beaton's original sketch of another of Barbra's "On a Clear Day" outfits sold at auction for $3,500! And that's just the sketch!

Worn by Raquel to the Oscars in 1978!
![]()
SOLD#7253 - c. 1978 RAQUEL WELCH Royal Blue Sequined Catsuit by LORIS AZZARO Worn to the 1978 Oscar Awards! The story behind the Raquel catsuit is that Raquel had to really squeeze into the outfit and it was so tight that she had to lay down in the limo on the way to the Academy Awards show because she was afraid that if she sat in it she would split the seams open! Now that's a story! :) And from the photos, it certainly seems to be true. Sold back in 1999 at the world renowned Christie's auction house at their exciting "Unforgettable Fashions of the Oscars" auction. I was lucky enough to recently acquire this piece as well as the Scaasi gown worn by Mitzi Gaynor (see below). Sorry to all my customers that this sold as fast as it did, but who can resist posting these gorgeous photos of Raquel! NEW LISTING!

#7225 - c. 1966 MITZI GAYNOR Sequined Ensemble by ARNOLD SCAASI Worn to the 1966 Oscar Awards! From the July 19, 2010 New York Times article: "After 55 years in the dress business, Arnold Scaasi announced on Monday that he is hanging up his shears and closing his made-to-order dress business... The designer (who dressed five first ladies during his career) had continued making custom gowns, about 20 each month. Mr. Scaasi was once described by the writer Bob Morris as “New York’s last great couturier,” in recognition of his training at the Chambre Syndicale in Paris, his early days at Paquin and Charles James and the fact that few designers were still interested in that level of craftsmanship. He had an uncanny talent as a salesman who could flatter any figure... A Scaasi retrospective will open at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, for which he has donated more than 200 pieces from his archives. One of his personal highlights was the see-through pajamas worn by Barbra Streisand to the 1969 Academy Awards, which caused a scandal, even though the outfit appeared almost opaque in person." This Mitzi Gaynor outfit was designed 3 years earlier than the Streisand gown, with a similar feel! As you will see from the photos and listing from the original Christie's 1999 famous "Unforgettable: Fashions of the Oscar" auction (and yes, this was sold at that auction back in 1999!), the outfit by Scaasi is listed in their catalog as: A "shell pink silk and sequined tulle gown. The short strapless dress is fitted with an empire waist. The tulle overlay ties at the neck with a matching ribbon, and is embellished with firework bursts of silver sequins, paillettes and iridescent shell-shaped baubles, reaching below the hem and dipping dramatically in the rear. Together with a tulle cape en-suite." I couldn't describe it better. Excellent condition. A Museum worthy piece without question! NEW LISTING! Approx. - SIZE - measurements coming

#7191 - c. 2010 CHER's One-of-a-Kind Black Velvet Gown Designed by BOB MACKIE Worn to the 2010 Golden Globe Awards! Comes with HANDWRITTEN NOTE on CHER'S PERSONAL NOTE CARD as COA! Exquisite and unbelievably special gown designed specifically for Cher by the iconic Bob Mackie to wear at the Golden Globe Awards. Cher says this is "one of her favorites"! Think Morticia Adams! It is a full length black velvet evening gown with blush silk open illusion panel at chest with black lace overlay accented with jet crystals. The front is designed to simulate a laced corset and is accented with jet stone buttons surrounded by rhinestones. This long sleeve full length gown terminates in a short train. Cher wore this gown as she walked the red carpet and appeared on stage with Christina Aguilera at the 67th annual Golden Globe awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills California on January 17, 2010. Cher wore a yellow, red and blue ribbon signifying support for the people of Haiti to the Golden Globes and this pin is still attached to the dress. Cher and Aguilera presented the award for Best Original song to Ryan Bingham for his work on Crazy Heart. In addition to the gown, Cher has included a special handwritten note, on her personal note card, to insure the authenticity of the gown. Note: Another black outfit (the "Rock & Roll" Mackie costume... with very little material!) from the Cher auction in 2006 sold for $60,000! Verbal Provenance
[ORDER ITEM #7190]
Click on image for additional photos!#7190 - Spring 2005 Collection BALENCIAGA, Paris Black Fully Bugle Beaded Concert Jacket! Verbal Provenance Worn by Mick Jagger! I was hoping to find a photo of Mick wearing this jacket prior to putting it up on my website just to complete the provenance. However, there is no question in my mind that this is exactly what it was represented to be (and if any of you Jagger fans can find me a photo of him wearing it, you get a $100 "finder's fee" from me!). I'd pay more if I wasn't SO convinced by SO many elements of this piece already. First off, Mick hangs out with Balenciaga designer, Nicolas Ghesquière, and wears Balenciaga. Second, it's black (Mick's color), it's absolutely Mick's "look" (you can just see the cut "tails" flying as he stomped across the stage), and it's exquisitely designed and made so it would have been extraordinarily expensive! Next, it's the correct size for Mick.. just about a female size 6 and quite abbreviated in the front (as Mick nearly always wears). This jacket came to me directly from a gentleman in NYC who says he got it from an extremely wealthy woman who ran in the right circles to make this all very plausible. I prefer absolute COAs or photos, but I'm selling this jacket for the price of a Balenciaga fully beaded jacket... and then Mick Jagger connection is just a bonus at this point! Note, this jacket weighs a ton! Near Mint condition! Note... just to give you a clue to Balenciaga's prices... Balenciaga's simple little Cream Print Silk Beaded Dress from the F/W 2009 collection listed at $25,550.! This is a million times more elaborate! I'm told by Balenciaga that this jacket retailed for $29,710 back in 2005. So that's $32,365 in 2009 dollars (love those inflation calulators!). But I can almost guarantee you that this would cost more if produced today... it's extraordinary! NEW LISTING! Also listed in Museum Category and 1930-Today Categories. AUTHENTIC - CAROL CHANNING /
BOB MACKIE "Diamonds" Dress
[ORDER ITEM #3300]
Click on image for additional photos!#3300 - c. 1975 Original BOB MACKIE Silver Beaded Fringe Dress Worn by CAROL CHANNING! First off, I love what I found online... "When broadway star Carol Channing sang "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" in the 1974 musical Lorelei, all that glittered was not what it seemed. Designer Bob Mackie created the show's eye-catching costumes, including a bejeweled dress for the character Lorelei Lee's big number. (Channing had gotten her big break in the Anita Loos play Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in 1949 and starred in its revival, Lorelei, 25 years later.) The showstopper of a dress, which Channing wore for all of the production's 320 Broadway performances, now resides within the collections of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. Mackie's extravaganza, with its hailstorm of stones from Czechoslovakia, weighs about 40 pounds. 'The first time I took a bow in that dress,' Channing told me recently, 'I fell over forward and almost broke my teeth.' During the production, Channing had to make a quick change between scenes. 'I told Bob that getting out of that dress in one minute was almost impossible. So he said, "Take off the sleeves."' (Channing would wear the costume in both configurations.)" SO... TAKE NOTE: This is one of the highly coveted Bob Mackie/Carol Channing's "Diamonds" dresses WITH the sleeves!!Carol wore many of her pieces multiple times, and had certain "iconic" designs that she would wear over and over again! In 2007, someone robbed Carol of her original, most famous 1974 Bob Mackie "Diamonds" dress that she wore on stage in Gentleman Prefer Blondes, which was valued at $150,000!! Luckily the dress was recovered and returned to Ms. Channing and has since gone to the Smithsonian. So she obviously values these dresses highly!!! As for this Bob Mackie Diamonds dress, the sketch for the shorter version of this dress designed for the 1974 Broadway production of Lorelie sold at auction for $960! (the sketch only!)! Condition is Good... amazing for such a heavy dress! The netting at the shoulders is a bit torn under and the dress weighs a ton (OK, I'm slightly exaggerating!). NEW LISTING! MORE PHOTOS COMING....

#6975 - c. 1955 BETTE DAVIS Taupe Suede and Steel Cut Beaded Shoes Worn in the Movie "The Virgin Queen"! Encased with Plaque in Plexiglass Box! I always seek to sell celebrity / memorabilia items with photographs of the items as worn in on screen, however it's nearly impossible to find photos of shoes worn under long period gowns. So I have to rather use circumstantial information to confirm authenticity. Certainly the look is correct to an Elizabethan costume. The shoes themselves have the excellent label of C.H.Wolfelt Co. (a name you can Google to find an article dated 1921 of the then 30-year-old company)... "The screen and stage stars and the romantic background of Los Angeles have contributed in a great measure to the artistic creations emanating from the house of Wolfelt." I believe these are original c. 1915-1919 steel beaded toes shoes of taupe suede, and then the movie studio added the steel beaded ornament over in 1955 to create the Elizabethan look. These encased and plaqued shoes came from the same place as easily confirmed Hollywood pieces, so I have no reason to believe these are anything but genuine. The size seems correct. The "muddy" sides seems correct to the slogging through mud from the movie. NOTE: A replica of Bette Davis' dress from "All About Eve" sold at auction in 2007 for $2,270! That's a replica... not the actual dress worn! Hard to find anything from Bette Davis! Shipping may be a bit higher as I will package securely! NEW LISTING! AUTHENTIC - BARBRA STREISAND

#4339 - c. 1984 RAY AGHAYAN Custom Gown Gold Lame, Beaded and Sequined Purchased from the Collection of BARBRA STREISAND! As couture as you can get! A one-of-a-kind gown, designed from scratch upon request! Barbra loved a particular Gustav Klimt painting entitled "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I" (c.1907) and asked designer Aghayan (previous mentor and co-collaborator with a young Bob Mackie) to copy the dress in the painting for her. This heavily adorned gold full-length evening gown features a unique neckline with short cap sleeves in addition to two shoulder straps. The dress has four 47" long panels which hang over the gold lame underdress. Each panel hangs from the gown's empire waist and gradually widen from 10" to 14" at the base. The gown is covered in elaborate beading and sequins, and does indeed fully evoke the Klimt painting! Barbra wore this dress in 1984 when she was presented with the Scopus Laureate Award. Aghayan label. Exquisite gown! Excellent condition. (Note, tight sleeves do not allow for much arm movement.) Comes with COA. Measures: 35" bust (with bust pads), 30/31" underbust, 58" long from shoulder to hem, 9" train, NOTE: Barbra Streisand's Superman T-shirt (yes folks... a T-shirt!) sold for $6,000, her "Owl and the Pussycat" outfit sold for $15,600, and her signature sailor top sold for $28,800!! I must tell you that I was so engrossed in Vanessa Redgrave (yeah, I was 13 years old, so boys weren't all that exciting yet) when this movie came out, that I can't tell you when Franco Nero wore this cape in the movie. I was informed that he wore it so that you see pieces of it on screen. A gorgeous heather color open weave wool cape trimmed in wool yarn for fringe down front and huge collar. The front closes with a faux metal hook on leather straps. Sorry to show it on a female dressform... but that's all I have. My guy walked by it the other day, and pointed and said "now That I like!" Ah, if only we all had more romance in our lives, your husband/boyfriend would be Lancelot! Measures: 65" long from shoulder to hem. Excellent condition! NOTE: I sold Vanessa Redgrave's nightgown from the movie. This cape came in the same Sotheby's lot as that nightgown. Approx. - SIZE one size fits all, TALL

I have two pairs of these gloves, so you can either buy them together, or buy one pair. Neither of these pair have been cut (as you see in the Liza photo to allow the fingers through). So, they were either worn by Liza on stage in other renditions of Cabaret, or they were additional pairs on "standby". They seem to be original old gloves rather than reproductions as they are slightly different from each other. Both black, both net. One pair with a bit more detail. The COA states "Liza Minnelli 'Cabaret' Black Gloves". The auction estimate listed the gloves $500-$700, and you know auction estimates are purposely low to create excitement! $ 385. for slightly more detailed pair
$ 345. for slightly less detailed pair

WHITNEY HOUSTON's GOWN
[ORDER ITEM - #4896]

#4896 - c. 1994 WHITNEY HOUSTON Gown of Electric Blue Metallic Rectangular Paillettes! Thanks to Jace, who seems to be a walking encyclopedia of Whitney's wardrobe, I have a photo of Whitney wearing this gown on the cover of Jet magazine, and more information than I thought possible! Jace says that the gown was worn once during Whitney's "The Bodyguard" World Tour (June 1993 - October 1994). The gown was worn during the second part of the USA leg, sometime during that summer of 1994. There are only two known photos of Whitney in this gown... I'm showing the best - the other is B&W)! As stretchy as you can get in a gown (so this will look a lot better with actual legs!) so it will hug your body to show off all your curves (attention Beyonce!). Killer look!! Please look at the close up photos so you can see what this dress is made of... millions (OK, perhaps a few less) of electric blue and auroaborealis (so they have a purple hue as well) tightly woven into the stretch black netting. Fabulous details!!! Fishtail train! Sleeves that look like gloves! Strapless look with matching choker turtleneck! Just awesome. Excellent condition. Also Listed in the 1930-Today and Whitney Houston Categories. Approx. - SIZE 2-6

NEW YORK CITY BALLET!
[ORDER ITEM - #3961]
Click on image for additional photos!#3961 - c. 1980's One-of-a Kind NOLAN MILLER Designed Fantasy Pieces for the New York City Ballet... Possibly from "A Midsummer's Night Dream"! I purchased this 2-piece fantasy "garment" direct from a Nolan Miller auction some years back. I have since sold many of these pieces (which were designed and worn for the New York City Ballet)... and I'm JUST getting around to posting this piece, along with the principal ballerina dress from "Swan Lake" which will go up soon. This one is nearly impossible to describe. I don't even know how it was supposed to be used or worn! This is how the 2 pieces were shown in the auction... but they seem ill-suited to be easily worn this way!! I really don't know what this was used for... I only know that it was so pretty... I just had to have it! I'm hoping someone will have more of an imagination than I do and create something wonderful! As you can see it's 2 STIFF "rings" covered with lavender tulle and covered with various silk flowers and leaves. They are fairly heavy, substantial pieces (Nolan Miller never skimped!). Both floral circles have yards of lavender tulle trailing off. And the more I look at them, they BOTH look to be perhaps head pieces, worn around the face?? So these may have been TWO separate costume pieces for TWO showgirls/ballet dancers. One seems to be like a hood at the back of the head, the other has lots of pouf at the back as well. And then they both trail down with yards of tulle, one with rhinestones. Perhaps these were some kind of flower costumes???? One piece opens and closes with velcro at the back. That one measures: 16" x 15". The other has no closure, but it's larger, so perhaps just didn't need to open. That one measures 21" x21". Beautiful flowers, butterfly, rhinestones, small pearls on one. This is the best I can do to describe these. Excellent condition. NEW LISTING! NOLAN MILLER Costume

#3800 - c. 1980's NOLAN MILLER Showgirl Sequin "Flame" Gown and Long Cape Costume! Ah, if only I knew which star wore this fabulous showgirl gown with cape. So incredibly sexy! On first look you'd expect it to be a Bob Mackie as it has the same nude netting and strategically placed sequins so often associated with Mackie. You can see the Bob Mackie sketch design for Tina Turner that is the inspiration for this gown with red cape with flame design around the hemline. Even though Mackie inspired... Nolan Miller is no slouch! :) He dressed the most glamorous women in movie and television history, including: Elizabeth Taylor, Ann-Margaret, Sophia Loren, Susan Hayward, Loretta Young, Anne Francis, Natalie Wood, Eva Gabor, Joan Crawford, Ginger Rogers, Lucille Ball, Barbara Stanwyck, and in addition the original "Charlie's Angels", "Green Acres", "Hart to Hart" series and, of course, Mr. Miller is best known for his expensive and wonderful costumes for Joan Collins and Linda Evans "Dynasty". #6653 - c. 2000's BETSEY JOHSON Dress of Peachy-Pink Satin and White Lace with Lace up Corset Back! From NBC's "PASSIONS" Soap Opera Worn by Melissa Fahn as the Young Esmerelda (aka Glinda)! From the wardrobe department of the now cancelled soap opera "Passions". Every year or so “Passions” did a spoof on a musical, complete with a song-and-dance number. In spoofing Wicked, costume designer Diana Eden is quoted as saying, "We had something like 45 costumes made from scratch. It was crazy here for two-and-a-half weeks, but we made it. When we first meet Young Esmerelda, she's in her little beige suit with pink piping and pink ruffles, then she changes into another dress, which is the only dress I didn't design. It's a Betsey Johnson dress and it's peach laced ruffled. All I did was add a little ruffled sleeve." Melissa Fahn was an original Broadway understudy for Wicked’s Glinda and featured in the Los Angeles cast of Wicked. Measures: 32/33" bust, 26/27" waist, 24" long from waist to hem. Short waisted a bit, so you will want to be short, or at least realize that the waist measurement will be slightly higher than your normal waist. Near Mint condition. Comes with a COA from Premier Props. Great prom dress as you tell everyone about the history!! Won't they be jealous! :) Also Listed in the 1930-Today Section. Approx. - SIZE 4

Click on image for additional photos!#4688 - c. 2002 Black Suede Lace Up Boots worn by "Suzie" from the "Cellblock" Dance Number in the Oscar Winning Best Movie of the Year, "Chicago"! Purchased directly from the production company, these are a great pair of black suede boots in size 7. Very comfortably wearable for anyone, even me with my sort-of wide foot and very very high instep (often I can't wear boots) as they were made for dancing. The laces are elastic. The heels are 3" high. Quite high...hits mid knee. The tongue is slightly higher than the top of the boots. Excellent condition just slight scuffing at toes. Looks like these might have been used by one of the main characters in the scene... "Pop" - the woman with the first "story about "Bernie" as she is wearing the same boots... though could have been worn by a backup dancer with the same outfit. AUDREY LANDERS on
"AM Los Angeles" TV Show
SOLD on LAYAWAY#7299 - c. 1982 JERAN White Beaded Grecian Toga Gown! Worn by Audrey Landers in 1982 on AM Los Angeles TV Program! Well, I got a few Jeran beaded gowns coming up soon, but I gotta say, this is the most special of the bunch. A few of the gowns had the original price tags still attached, so I know for sure that they cost $3,000 - $4,000. And since this is the best of those, this was likely originally at least $5,000! And again, this was back in 1982. Using the inflation calculator (yes, just Google search that and see for yourself!), that means that this would cost over $11,000 today! And then to top it off, it's got the "celebrity" connection. Comes with the photo of Audrey in the gown on the AM Los Angeles set, along with the autographs of Randy McLaughlin and Jerry Skeels. I just Googled searched more info, and seems a fashion sketch (just the SKETCH!) signed by these two guys (of Jeran Designs) is priced at $1,999! Seems they formed Jeran Designs in 1982, so this gown is one of their first! In 1983 they designed a dress for Joan Collins for the cover of Playboy and that's when their gowns became coveted by the starlets! This gown is in Excellent condition! Actually wraps around your body like a true toga, so no closures are seen!! Huge snaps at the shoulder. As you seen, the edge is trimmed in gold beading in the classic Grecian design. God, if you've got a party at a museum, or toga party, or Roman toga wedding.... where are you EVER gonna find anything this spectacular again?? $ 5,250. SOLD on LAYAWAY

The celebrity connection of this dress may mean nothing to you... or for those of you soap opera watchers... Andrea Evans has been around forever on loads of different shows, so I'm sure you'll recognize her name! For the rest of you... all you need to recognize is the name "HALSTON"! So sexy, low neckline to show off your cleavage. Seamed to follow every curve (see the lightened photos to see the seaming!), and those fabulous double "slashed" shoulders straps... ooh baby. Mermaid shape with the material flaring and draping from the lower thighs to hem. Lined in satin so feels great on! Heavy duty breast cups inside so no bra necessary! Excellent condition. Has the paper Passions sticker inside the dress. Back zipper. Labeled size 6. Fits the mannequin perfectly at 35" bust, 25" waist, 36" hips, but will stretch to fit anyone at size 6ish. 50" long from shoulder to hem, so it's meant to be low ankle length (on me at 5'2") or can be full length if you are 5" tall........or if you are taller, this would look great at higher ankle or slightly above length (depending on your height) with strappy sandals.... oooh ... perhaps with ankle straps? Comes with a COA from Premier Props. Also Listed in 1930-Today Category. Approx. - SIZE 6

I can't tell you if the jacket is a 36 or 38 or what. I have no man that size to try it on for you (which is really the only way to be sure!), but here are all the measurements. First the pants... the inseam is 31.5" long (there is an extra 1.5" in the hem of the pants to make longer if necessary). The jacket sleeve measures 36" long from middle of back of neck across the shoulder to the end of the sleeve on the outside, and measures 18.5" from underarm to end of sleeve. Across the shoulders from seam to seam is 18". AUTHENTIC - CAROL CHANNING

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkRjuWb5CQA#3293 - RARE!!!!! c. 1975 Original CAROL CHANNING Worn Complete Costume with Headpiece from the 1975 Tony Awards Telecast! Likely Early Bob Mackie Costume! Grace Costumes, NY Tag with Carol Channing's Hand-written Name! Unbelievable complete costume worn by Carol Channing on the 1975 Tony Awards Show! YES, the headpiece comes with it... I just didn't get to photograph it yet as I don't have the right mannequin head, but you can see it on Carol! It's wild!! Carol Channing was a presenter at the Tony awards that year which took place at the Winter Garden Theater in NYC... and so to salute that historic theater, she took the opportunity to make fun of herself! Carol wore an outfit that was an overblown version of the vampy costumes she wore for her only Broadway flop entitled "The Vamp". Only running 60 performances from Nov. 10 through Dec. 31, 1955 at the Winter Garden Theater. Check out the funny YouTube clip of her speech while wearing this outfit complete with elaborate headpiece!! I believe this was designed by Bob Mackie, but no way to confirm, however it DOES come with a COA (Certificate of Authenticity) from the Carol Channing auction... though you barely need it with the YouTube video as ironclad authenticity. I mean... I can guarantee you that there aren't two of these costumes out there!! :) And Mr. Mackie had just worked with Ms. Channing on her Broadway play, "Lorelei" in 1974. Four piece set of fuchsia metallic chiffon lined in gold netting, edged with silver beads, rhinestones and gold bullion trim with huge faux pearls. Sleeveless dress with hoop skirt. The sleeves (elastic top) and pantaloons (elastic waist with metal zip back) are both separate. Finally comes WITH the wild headpiece with six stiff "curls" and large ornament at front. Excellent condition, near MINT condition!! Very well constructed! Huge head size as is... headpiece closes with velcro at back!! Ready to ... wear???? :) Measures: 36" bust (includes easily removable old hardened cup padding) 26-30" waist (hidden elastic), 23" long sleeves, 44" long pantaloons (Carol is TALL!). You'll never see another... especially now that after Bjork's swan dress, no one is willing to actually have fun at the any of the awards shows! How boring we all are these days!!!!! FYI, Bob Mackie's Whoopie Goldberg Academy Awards "Queen Elizabeth I" gown sold at auction for $22,800!!! And a Carol Burnett /Bob Mackie yellow slicker coat for over $5,000! NOTE: Likely quite expensive to ship overseas due to size and shape of box. Approx. - SIZE 6-10

A green woven cotton gauze chiffon lined in glorious feeling silk with tulip embroidery and clear sequin/beads for just a hint of glitter. Empire waist with low cleavage front and back. Two long flowing "tails" at back to flutter along with the hem of the gown as you walk. Looks amazing on as long as you have small cup size breasts. If my breasts were smaller, I would keep this in a heartbeat! Measures: 33" bust, 25" waist, 62" long from shoulder to hem. NOTE: INVESTMENT PIECE! Imagine owning Calvin Klein's first collection piece.. or Donna Karan, or Ralph Lauren... or any top designer! Who knows what future value this dress may have if Chloe "makes it big"! Click on image for additional photos!#3281 - c. 1960's Magnificent 2-piece Performance Costume owned and worn by CAROL CHANNING Designed by BOB MACKIE! Amazingly...Carol Channing just called me (really!!) to buy back this elaborate red sequin lined white satin coat which was worn during the "Carol Channing and Pearl Bailey" television special. SO... it's the fully sequined micro-miniskirt (with sexy slit) and fully sequined tunic with attached mega beaded belt with long beaded fringe, which is still available. I asked Carol where she wore the miniskirt outfit, and she said it was for another TV special sometime between 1968-1973 (during the time of Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In) . All pieces were designed by Bob Mackie specifically for Carol Channing. The costume was professionally dry cleaned prior to my purchase. Excellent condition for a performance outfit!!!! Carol Channing is back! She was just awarded the FIRST sidewalk star on New York City's new "Broadway Walk of Fame", won the first "Oscar Hammerstein Award" for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theater, and is back out performing! I have a few other Carol Channing wardrobe and costumes coming up soon for sale. All came directly from Carol through auction. Guaranteed original. In November 14, 2010 Angelina Jolie's leather pants and stained tan sweatshirt from her Academy Award winning performance in "Girl Interrupted" sold for $6,871.00 from Heritage Auctions!!!! Yup, $ 6,800+! Sorry I don't have the hat, but hey perhaps you can find that at some point! :) The condition is Excellent... except for the bra that is attached inside (to give Angelina whatever support she might need). AUTHENTIC - Worn on "Passions"
NBC-TV Show Soap Opera
SOLD#6646 - c. 1990's TADASHI Burgundy Wine Colored Stretch Velvet Halter Gown! Worn in the NBC-TV Soap Opera "Passions"! Worn by the character "Valerie Davis" (played by actress Daphnee Duplaix Samuel who was also in Playboy magazine as Playmate of the Month for July 1997). If you are/were an ABC soap opera watcher, Daphnee also portrayed Rachel Gannon on "One Life to Live". Frankly, it doesn't matter who wore it.... it's only important that YOU wear it.... as it's one of those stretchy velvet gowns that looks great on just about everyone! Hugs what it should hug and the draping hides what should be hidden if necessary. I've seen this gown on a gal who had a perfect body (and it looked fabulous), but then I also saw it on a gal with... well... more tummy than she should, and it looked equally smashing! The original rhinestone "snake" ornament is sewn on the gown so comes with it. Awesome color ... like a fine full-bodied red wine. Make him want to drink you in! :) :) :) NEW LISTING! AUTHENTIC - "Seabiscuit" Movie Worn
by Elizabeth Banks
SOLD#4310 - c. 2003 (c. 1930's Style) Worn by Elizabeth Banks in Movie "Seabiscuit" Blue-Gray Heavy Cotton "Sailor Style" High Waisted Stovepipe Pants! These pants were custom designed and made by the renowned John David Ridge costume house. Worn by Ms. Banks portraying Marcela Howard (wife of Seabiscuit's owner, played by Jeff Bridges). As you can see, these pants have "Ms. Elizabeth Banks" on the label as well as "SB 9". Obviously that's "Seabiscuit". Not sure exactly what the "9" refers to. I haven't watched the movie to find out when she might have worn these pants. Perhaps you'll take a look and let me know?? :) I hate the gorgeous Ms. Banks, as she has such small hips/butt (waahhh!), as these Measure: 26" waist, 34" hips, 42" long outside leg, 29" long inseam. Excellent condition. The double rows of buttons open from both sides. Slit pockets on the sides. Great shape, and would look fabulous on... if only I could get them on! ;( More photos coming soon. TERRI GARBER in Miniseries
"North and South" on ABC-TV
SOLD on LAYAWAY#7317 - c. 1985 (c. 1865 era reproduction costume) Trained Side Saddle Riding Habit with Crop Worn by TERRI GARBER in the ABC-TV Miniseries "NORTH and SOUTH"! I know there are side-saddle habit collectors out there (and for those of you Google searchers... I add "Side Saddle Outfit" and "Riding Outfit" and "Side Saddle Riding Habit" - I could go on!!). This is just a lovely, well-made costume!! Taupe colored wool trimmed in very deep burgundy velvet (looks like black unless under light) and black soutache braid. Comes with an old actual crop. The skirt buttons up at the side as you'd expect and has a large opening (see photos.. so can't be worn without buttoned up - shown with white slip under). The jacket has been expanded at the front with an extra piece of velvet material (as Terri Garber was TINY!!!), but this can easily be removed to return to original condition and size. Nothing was ruined with this inset. Has the Western Costume Co. label with all the appropriate information as well as a Western Costume barcode. Excellent condition with a few minor exceptions. There is one original velvet button missing from one sleeve (was replaced with black velvet - again the color difference only seen under bright lights), and a couple of moth holes (see photos - one at side near button, the other under hem - not seen when worn). Wish I had the top hat to go with it, but this riding habit is certainly special enough on its own! Measurements coming. GREAT display piece!!! Or to wear if you are tiny! NEW LISTING! AUTHENTIC - RUSSELL CROWE
Screen Used - "A Beautiful Mind"
SOLDhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5ToctbuBtc&feature=related
#3417a - c. 2001 "A Beautiful Mind" Nobel Prize Leather Covered Case! Awarded to Russell Crowe as John Forbes Nash! One of my favorite movies of all time! Brilliantly acted and directed, and winner of 4 Oscars including Best Picture of 2001 (74th Academy Awards)! This red leather covered case imprinted in gold with the name "J.F. Nash" and the "N's" at the corners (for Nobel) is an exact replica of an actual Nobel Prize case, and is THE ORIGINAL (and I believe the only one created) for "A Beautiful Mind". You can see it being held by Russell Crowe in the YouTube clips of the Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech. This scene was the climax of the film, which makes this (in my opinion) the "Holy Grail" of the movie! The movie is based on a true story, and John Nash won the Nobel Prize in 1994 with two other economists for the 1950 doctoral dissertation he wrote while at Princeton on Game Theory. The box doesn't hold any award or anything inside (never did)... it was just the box itself. Excellent condition with extreme minor imperfections from movie. For the movie buff who, like me, adores this film... it's a must have piece! Watch the "A Beautiful Mind" film clip on YouTube of the Nobel Prize acceptance speech (link is to the left - 1.55 into clip you will see Russell Crowe holding this box). I believe it was the only one created! $ 935. SOLD
AUTHENTIC - ERIC WINTERLING
Stage Worn Gown
SOLD#7354 - c. Anyway, this gown came to me and I had to research and track down more info on it.. so... I contacted Eric Winterling, Inc. (the costume shop that created the costumes for Broadway's "Wicked" and "Wonderland", etc.) and they were sweet enough to forward me photos of this gown in production at their 2002 shop!! The gown was designed by Marina Draghici (Tony Award winner for "Fela") for William Shakespeare's "As You Like It" for the character Rosalind in the 2002 National Tour by The Acting Company. The gown is, indeed, a one of a kind. The dress was
worn for the wedding scene at the end of the play by the actress Jessica Bates (who I also contacted to complete the research on this gown!). As she wrote to me, "I believe that the costume designer's original intent in making all the costumes out of
canvas was that we were to look like living works of art, like paintings that had come to life. I felt extremely honored to wear such an incredibly crafted garment! It still blows my mind when I think about how difficult it must have been for them to sew all those pleats into the canvas! Say hi to the dress for me!" NOTE: the gown is extremely heavy!!!! Back zipper. Faux corset bodice is attached to the skirt. The color is what you'd expect from canvas... canvas colored. The bodice is beautifully stenciled with pink and bits of "fairy dust". A WORK OF ART! More info and photos coming.... NEW LISTING! Also Listed in the Wedding Category.$ 1,245. SOLD

AUTHENTIC - LARAINE DAY
Screen Used - "Woman on Pier 13"
SOLD
Click on image for additional photos!
copyright 2005 Jay Parrino#5459 - c. 1949 Champagne Colored Satin Gown with Polkadot Silk Scarf Movie Worn by LARAINE DAY in "The Woman on Pier 13" or "I Married A Communist"! This piece is likely more important for the film than for the star who wore it! Love the write-up of this film on the TCM website: "Propaganda masquerading as popular entertainment has rarely fooled the ticket-buying public, but when Howard Hughes assumed control of RKO studios in 1948, he was already a well-known eccentric with a paranoid fear of communist infiltrators in the industry. He immediately fired almost three-fourths of the RKO work force and had the remaining staff members investigated for their political affiliations. The most notorious Hughes concoction was The Woman on Pier 13 (WP13) (1949) which was originally released as I Married a Communist. Howard Hughes took a special interest in WP13 allegedly using the film as a loyalty test for his employees. If any writer, director or actor who was assigned to work on it refused, they would be fired. When the film was finally released in its re-edited form it was a certified box office bomb, ending up with a deficit of $650,000 in relation to its costs. Today, The Woman on Pier 13 is a fascinating and highly entertaining example of anti-communist agitprop. In form and style, The Woman on Pier 13 looks like a standard B-movie thriller with the shadowy texture and atmospheric lighting synonymous with the film noir visual aesthetics that RKO is known for." So, here's this champagne colored satin gown with button front, original matching belt, double peplum, cuffed 3/4 sleeves and original polkadot silk scarf! The gown is in fair condition with a few spots, and fabric shredding mostly on shoulders and sleeves, and the scarf is in poor condition. But the rest of the gown is solid and looks great for display. Measures: 33" bust, 23" waist, 59" long from shoulder to hem in front, 64" long in back. SOLD
AUTHENTIC - IRENE DUNNE
Screen Used -"The Age of Innocence"
SOLD
Click on image for additional photos!
#5460 - c. 1934 Navy Wool and Cut Velvet Trained Tailored Bustle Gown in 1870's Style Movie Worn by IRENE DUNNE in "The Age Of Innocence"! Designed by Walter Plunkett! For those of you too young to know... well before Michelle Pfeiffer starred as Countess Ellen Olenska in the 1993 version of "The Age of Innocence", Irene Dunne portrayed the same role in the 1934 RKO Studios movie with the same title from the 1920/21 Pulitzer Prize winning novel by famed Edith Wharton. Two screen captures are below of Irene wearing this gown. The off-white lace edging is hard to see in my photos, but it's all there at collar and cuffs. The gown itself is a lightweight navy wool with lovely gold edged black cut velvet at the front, cuffs, and pockets of gown. The back creates a lovely bustle with flower and bow with black tassels as well. The gold buttons are fabulous on front of the gown, and the training in back is certainly elegant. The gown is labeled inside with numbers only, but the construction, materials and history all guarantee this to be authentic to the film. Shown in photos over a bustle cage and petticoat (not included). The condition is quite excellent, though there is a small patch at front hipline on the velvet (not sure why, but it's there), and a bit of darkening on one gold rope at front, and minor fading of fabric first seen under photography lights. Extreme minor moth holes for a movie gown of this age. Designed by Walter Plunkett.... you know... of "Gone with the Wind" fame! SOLD

AUTHENTIC - GINGER ROGERS
Screen Used - "The Traveling Saleswoman"
[ORDER ITEM #5458]
Click on image for additional photos!#5458 - c. 1950 Raspberry Wool 2-piece Tailored Suit in 1898 Style Movie Worn by GINGER ROGERS in "The First Traveling Saleswoman"! Designed by Edward Stevenson! This was Ginger Rogers' last movie for the studio in which she was a star, RKO. A (quote) "mild comedy starring Ginger Rogers as a corset shop owner who goes broke and becomes a traveling saleslady in 1897 (though I think it's 1898) Texas. But because she owes money she ends up selling barbed wire. Very strange premise but a decent cast and a few good lines here and there save this one. Rogers' modeling assistant is none other than Carol Channing." This piece is in extraordinary condition in the finest quality raspberry colored wool. Fabulous cut of the skirt gores especially at back. Trimmed in matching deeper raspberry velvet at cuffs, collar and waist. A delightful costume from a Hollywood star, from a less than stellar movie I'm afraid. I haven't seen it myself, but I'm told this piece is indeed onscreen in the movie. Both pieces are beautifully and originally tagged with "G. Rogers" and the production numbers and "1898" era. This piece hasn't seen the light of day in about 40 years... tucked away in a personal collection. The color, condition, and superior fabrics are what is so special about this piece! I only wish I had a "dancing" Ginger Rogers gown! Love the fact that the "Traveling" is spelled differently on the two posters I'm showing in the additional photos! Wild! :) SOLD
AUTHENTIC - JULIE ANDREWS
Worn on "The Julie Andrews Hour"
SOLD#7262 - December 6, 1972 JULIE ANDREW Gown with Western Costume Co. Label! Worn on her ABC-TV Show "The Julie Andrews Hour" While Singing "IF" Designed by Jack Bear! WoW! Yup, a gown special enough to be worn by a Princess with that most flattering sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice, and fantastically tailored skirt where the pattern is stitched in perfection! This gown was worn by Julie Andrews on her ABC TV show, "The Julie Andrews Hour". I have a DVD of the show she wore it on (December 6, 1972) while singing "IF" (you'd know the song as sung by Bread). I thought the costume designer was her ex-husband, Tony Walton, but I've been corrected... it was Jack Bear who, at the 25th Annual Emmy Awards, won the Emmy for Outstanding Costume Design for this show. The show swept the Emmys that year, winning in 6 other categories including Outstanding Variety Musical Series (beating out Carol Burnett and Sonny & Cher!). The gown is a wide vertical striped brown, black and deep platinum floral brocade, that then switches to a watered silk floral design! The watered silk stripes are seen when the skirt is in movement (I've brought them out a bit so you can see them), otherwise, if the dress is steamed perfectly, you only see the brocade! Masterful design!!! Measures: 35/36" bust, 25/26" waist, 59.5" long from shoulder to hem, 16" from shoulder to waist. Back zipper. Excellent, near mint condition! $ 4,250. SOLD

(check measurements above)AUTHENTIC - KAREN GRASSLE
"Little House on the Prairie" Worn
SOLD
#5461 - c. 1876 REPRODUCTION 2-piece Ivory Rayon Brocade Bustle Gown with Ostrich Feather Trimmed Hat. Worn on "Little House on the Prairie" by KAREN GRASSLE! My website groupies (yes, you know who you are!) know that I rarely sell reproduction anything, but this is a highly prized costume piece from NBC-TV's "Little House on the Prairie". But this 2-piece bustle gown with hat came to me from a collector of movie memorabilia (some lovely pieces including a Ginger Rogers and an Irene Dunne screen-worn outfits). I was told this was a wedding gown worn on the show, but thanks to Katrina Casey of www.edelweisspatterns.com who is a LHOTP lifelong fan, I now have photos and all the correct info! Thanks Katrina!! This gown was worn by Karen Grassle as Caroline Ingalls during the 2nd season from the episode, "At the End of the Rainbow", in which Laura has a dream that her family is wealthy and they all wear entirely white luxurious outfits. Excellent condition with just extremely minor (hardly seen) rusting here and there... only seen when thoroughly inspecting. The hat will just need a bit of shoe polish... it's a stiff hat which isn't great off the head, but look fabulous when worn on the piled high hair! Has a velvet ribbon and colored rhinestone ornament as well as the ostrich feathers. The gown has lace at yoke and lower sleeves (I stuffed them with some netting for fullness, and display with bustle underpinnings which doesn't come with the gown). With easy gathering, the front over-apron can be worn bustled up all the way, or half-way, or down (I show all the choices in the photos, but as you can see it was wore on the TV show all the way down). Measures: 33/34" bust, 25" waist (could increase to 26"), 40" long from waist to hem in front, 45" long in back, 13" neck. $ 1,245. SOLD

AUTHENTIC -"Little Women"
KATHARINE HEPBURN Shoes
SOLD
#6974 - c. 1933 KATHARINE HEPBURN Pink Satin High Top Ballet Slippers Worn in the Movie "Little Women"! I've read that Katharine Hepburn wore a size 8.5 shoe (and indeed these are approximately that size). I also show (thanks Judy!) another photo of Ms. Hepburn wearing similar, though dark, high-top, open-front shoes in the 1937 movie "Quality Street" (see additional photos). And seeing the gown Katharine wore in "Little Women", these look to be the perfect shoe for that gown. These encased and plaqued shoes came from the same place as easily confirmed Hollywood pieces, so I have no reason to believe these are anything but genuine. The condition of the case is Excellent. The shoes themselves are in Fair/Poor condition, but SO rare, it shouldn't bother you! I find these shoes have a special aura about them... I'm awed by them Can't explain it (as I'm more an Audrey Hepburn rather than Katharine Hepburn fan), yet, these just have a magic... enough to give me goosebumps! That is VERY rare for me!!! From Sotheby's Hepburn estate auction in 2004: NOTE: Katharine Hepburn's wedding gown sold for $27,000. A pair of personal wardrobe boots sold for $1,560. A copy of "Little Women" signed by Katharine Hepburn sold for $10,800. A lot of two hats sold for $3,600. Three simple black caps sold for $3,800 and a ring from "The Lion in Winter" sold for 14,400. $ 3,500. SOLD

Floor-length deep eggplant-colored cotton velvet (looks black unless in bright light) 15th-century period trained gown with fitted, boned bodice with wide square "Florentine" neckline edged in a wide embroidered lame ribbon. The "Juliette" sleeve is tight armed, the cuff is edged with the same lame ribbon with zipper, and a slashed puff at the upper sleeve exposes gold lame insets. The puff of the sleeve is shaped with stiff netting between the sleeve and sleeve lining. The gown is fully lined in satin. Nolan Miller designed this period masquerade gown for the British actress Kate O'Mara in her role as "Cassandra Morrell," sister of Alexis Morrell Carrington Colby, in the 1986 season of Dynasty. Excellent condition. From the Nolan Miller Collection. Measures: 33-35" bust, 26" waist, 59" long from shoulder to hem in front, 74" long in back. Heavy, wonderfully made. WHITNEY HOUSTON's Dress
SOLD
#6853 - c. Spring 2009 CARMEN MARC VALVO Dress worn by Whitney Houston for the Cover Shoot of her 2009 Album "I Look To You" and Used for her First Single "Million Dollar Bill" off that Album! I'm sure you've all hear by now that Whitney Houston is BACK! And in celebration of that, I have purchased a new Whitney dress for you!!! Worn by Whitney for the cover photoshoot for her 2009 album. Frankly I can't believe she didn't choose this photo of the album cover, as I think it's SO much more flattering (and looks more like her) than the photo she did choose, but I think the answer is in the fact that there were too many comparing the look to Mariah Carey's cover of her "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel". SO.... Anyway, I have "THE" dress! :) I'm sure you will see others who claim they have "the" dress, but this came directly from Carmen Marc Valvo and Whitney through a recent auction. The auction valued this dress at $3,500 so who am I to argue with them?? FYI, Mr. Valvo's cocktail dresses usually retail for $1,300 - $1,800 and his 2009 fall collection will include $2,400 dresses. So the dress alone is worth money... but certainly it's the Whitney cache that makes this dress truly "priceless"!!! Excellent condition. Size 2. Meticulously crafted in black patent and lace!! The dress comes with a signed photo of Whitney. Also Listed in the Whitney Houston Category.

MGM Labeled - AVA GARDNER Gown
SOLD#4553 - c. 1940's AVA GARDNER MGM Labeled Gown of Black Netting and Embroidery! OK.. so normally I only like to sell Hollywood Memorabilia pieces that I'm absolutely confident about ... because all the details "fit", and/or I have photos or can locate footage of the star wearing the item. I really do quite a bit of research to make sure everything I sell I can stand proudly behind! And then there are those that I just don't have the time to fully research, so.... I just sell "as found" and let you do all the work! :) So this gown comes with no COA from me, other than a 1993 COA that came with it from Roslyn Herman Antiques and Collectibles. Sorry! Certainly it's got the look of an Ava Gardner gown... and with her green eyes she wore quite a bit of green. This is a black net gown with tiny green embroidered squares over the original black rayon slip trimmed in green at the upper bodice to show off the sweetheart neckline. Nice lower squared back. Side metal zipper on both the slip and the overdress. The measurements are: up to 40" bust, up to 31" waist (which makes me pretty sure there would have been a cinching belt of some kind) and 60" long from shoulder to hem. Condition is good, not perfect as there are some minor holes (leg breaks) in the top layer of netting (see photos). There are additional holes and some white stains (paint???) in the 2nd layer of netting under (you don't see unless you look under the outer layer. I'm VERY VERY picky, so I tell you everything as I want everything to be near mint condition, so any issues bother me! You are likely less picky than I am. SO..... I'm pricing this to sell. If you can find the photos of Ava in this piece... you win! :) $ 845. SOLD

AUTHENTIC - BROOKE SHIELDS Worn
SOLD
#4574 - c. 1983 BOB MACKIE, Worn by Brooke Shields for Cosmopolitan Cover Red and Black Bugle Bead Gown on Black Netting with Matching Dramatic and Opulent Fox Fur Trimmed Diva Jacket! From Bob Mackie's private collection of gowns purchased from the Sotheby's auction. As far as I am concerned, this was the most amazing piece at the auction! OK.. there were about 3 others that I also loved, but none nearly as opulent!! The gown and jacket are in Excellent condition and look incredible on! The red beading on the black netting gives an interesting coloration, with the detail pattern of the gown appearing more pronounced in certain lighting conditions. VERY high slight in the skirt shows almost all your leg when you move. Closes at back with hook between the back straps. Couture construction makes every body look it's best. The jacket is KILLER!!! Massive dolman sleeves and drapy back all trimmed in wide black fox fur around high collar, cuffs, and around entire edge. Fully beaded in all red beads and weighs a ton!Measures: 34/35" bust, 25" waist, up to 37" hips. The finest early Bob Mackie pieces are coveted by museums. Here's your chance to own the best of the best from Hollywood's fashion icon and masterful designer! So fabulous that even Bob Mackie couldn't part with it for over 20+ years! Sharon Stone's Mackie beaded gown from "Casino" sold at auction for $13,200 - just the gown! Compared to that.. this is a steal! Also listed in Museum Category and 1930-Today Category. $ 13,500. SOLD

AUTHENTIC - Jennifer Connelly
Worn in "A Beautiful Mind"
SOLD
#3530 - worn by JENNIFER CONNELLY in her OSCAR WINNING PERFORMANCE as ALICIA NASH in "A Beautiful Mind"! Alicia's Screenworn Turtleneck top, Wrap Denim Skirt and Espadrilles! I believe Alicia (Jennifer Connelly) wore this outfit in the rain scene when she is running from the apartment with her baby after her husband (Russell Crowe) accidentally almost drowns the baby in the tub. Easily worn if you wish, or displayed with the poster as movie memorabilia. Excellent condition. The one thing to mention is that one shoe size reads 8 and the other reads 8 1/2! So... I don't think it will make much difference as espadrilles tie on to stay in place, but hey... you have now learned something few people know about Jennifer Connelly! :) Guaranteed Authentic as it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Universal Pictures and Premiere Props as well as an original Oscar Ad showing what I believe to be Jennifer Connelly wearing this outfit. Impossible to measure, but Jennifer's other outfit I have is about a size 4/6. Since this is a wrap skirt and stretch turtleneck, it will fit a few shapes/sizes. A great piece for an Oscar memorabilia collection! I've often thought it would be a great idea to have a collection of FOOTWEAR of the Oscar Winning Performances.. you know... "walking in their shoes". If you decide you want to start that collection... these espadrilles would be a good start... and I have a pair of sandals worn by Oscar Award Winner, Halle Berry in "Monster's Ball" which will be up on the website soon to add to the collection! $ 495. AUTHENTIC - CLARK GABLE
Screen Worn Vest with Tags !
SOLD
#3709 - Dated June 26, 1941 ORIGINAL CLARK GABLE Screen Worn Vest - Dated and Labeled!! GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC. I wish I could tell you exactly which movie this is from, but I don't have access to the MGM production numbering system. I'm sure if you looked up #5808, that would identify the movie for sure. Could be "Honky Tonk", which would be the correct timing, but can't confirm that. It's definitely from some movie. Eddie Schmidt costume label was often found in Clark Gable wardrobe pieces. And additionally, this vest has the MGM stamp inside.. along with "42" (size I assume), and "Change #3". A wonderful piece of Hollywood history for your collection!! The vest is a soft gray with black trim at the cutouts. Back is silk. There is damage to the upper back silk (see photos) and one small sewed mothhole (see photos). Otherwise just the usual wear from age and use. FYI, the Clark Gable vest from "The Misfits" sold at auction for $3,600, but that vest had NO studio or costume tags or Gable name inside... just the COA from his assistant and the match with the screen worn movie vest. For those of you who want rare CLARK GABLE Memorabilia.... $ 2,500. SOLD
NOLAN MILLER for
NEW YORK CITY BALLET!
SOLD on LAYAWAY#3957 - c. 1980's NOLAN MILLER COUTURE Ballerina Costume for the New York City Ballet Production of Swan Lake! I've had this in my private collection for a few years. I just thought it was such a special piece, but it's time to allow others to see it, and allow her to find a new good home. As couture as you can get, it is likely one of a kind... unless there were a few exactly the same used for the Swan Lake production as back ups... or perhaps this was the back up gown as it's in great condition! The only issue is a bit of dusty dirt at hemline at back. The bodice is dripping with faux pearls, rhinestones and clear sequins on a nude lining. The bodice cups are split and nude netting inserted which disappeared on stage. Same nude netting on upper back so it appears lower than it is when worn on stage. Heavy zipper allows for quick changes backstage. Measures: 27" long from mid bust top to hem in front, 19" from natural waist to hem in front, 51" from waist to hem in back. I have no more words... the dress is just what every little girl dreams about! $ 1,250. SOLD on LAYAWAY

#3966 - c. 1968 Huge Off-White Ostrich Feather Hat from the DEBBIE REYNOLDS' Hollywood Motion Picture Collection from the Set of FUNNY GIRL, Starring Barbra Streisand! This flamboyant hat is from the 1968 film FUNNY GIRL, starring Barbra Streisand as Fanny Brice. The wide-brimmed hat was worn by a background showgirl in the extravagant Follies 'Bride' dance number (if you look in the back oval mirrors you will see the huge feathered hats.. this hat looks to be the 3rd from the right). Oh, and for you movie history buffs... the bride number "His Love Makes You Beautiful" was pared down for the final cut as stated on the Barbra Archives website (use link at left to see!). This off-white ostrich feather hat is a HUGE 24" across!! A flat top decorated with masses of off-white ostrich feathers and large clear sequins. The top of the hat is flat with a fitted headpiece on the underside. Attached is an 8-foot tulle scarf with clear sequins. This costume is from the collection of Debbie Reynolds and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Ms. Reynolds and Darren Julien for Sothebys. A great hat on its own... but along with the Barbra Streisand / Funny Girl provenance... it's even better!! $ 1,200.
SOLDAUTHENTIC - NATALIE WOOD
Owned and Worn
SOLD#6139 - c. 1971 CAROLINE EAVIS and ANNA CROSBY-BROWN (Of Eavis & Brown) Dusty Rose Suede Jumper Previously Owned by Natalie Wood! Sold at Miss Selfridge, London! Eavis & Brown of London (as they are now known) seemed an overnight sensation (to us in America) when they designed Heather Mills' wedding gown for her marriage to Paul McCartney. Said to cost over $35,000, there was certainly a lot of hoopla surrounding it! But this leather and suede appliqued dusty rose pig suede jumper proves it takes decades to become "an overnight sensation"! Cornflower blue, fuschia and eggplant colored leathers appliqued with and pink, rose, tan and gray colored suede on a dusty rose suede base. Fully lined in acetate. Excellent condition. This jumper comes with a signed COA from Zsa-Zsa's Closet, Glendale, CA that is was owned by the fabulous Natalie Wood! I have no absolute documentation, ie. no photos of Natalie in this, so it's not absolutely guaranteed, but it's a damn good bet! Natalie's style, her size, the right era, and here's the best piece of trivia... Natalie's actress sister, Lana Wood, was cast in a minor role in "Diamonds are Forever" filming in London in 1971! So... I'm assuming Natalie went to visit her sister there and did a little shopping! :) I'd be willing to stake my reputation that this is indeed a Natalie Wood owned piece. So it is a museum piece of London's fashion history as well as Hollywood memorabilia piece! Measures: open bust, 24" waist, 35/36" hips, 24-27" long from waist to hem. Natalie Wood items are scarce! Also listed in the 1930-Today Category. $ 2,895. SOLD

SOLD on LAYAWAY#6694 - c. 1950's RAPPI Light Blue and Black Cotton Printed Sundress as worn by Sarah Jessica Parker on "Sex in the City"! This isn't necessarily "the" dress that Sarah Jessica Parker wore... but it is "the exact same" vintage dress she wore! I frankly can't tell you if it's "the" dress. But since it was a RTW dress of the 1950's, there was more than one produced. Though this is the only one I've seen. But as you know... only the most fashionable dresses were selected to be worn on this show (as - come on - you know much of the show's appeal was about the fashions)! Excellent condition. Rappi label sundress in a light blue (slightly aqua), white and black "splotchy - Jackson Pollackish" cotton fabric trimmed in a black velvet ribbon. Back metal zipper. Impress your friends! As you see even on Sarah, the hemline is not exactly the same length around (this is only mentioned for those of you who have OCD! :) Measures: 34/35" bust, 25" waist, 27" long from waistline to hem. Dress Worn in "Funny Lady" and
Designed by BOB MACKIE!
SOLD on LAYAWAY
#5673 - c. 1975 BARBRA STREISAND Screen Worn "Little Eva" Dress and Matching Bloomers from "FUNNY LADY" Designed by BOB MACKIE and RAY AGHAYAN! Nominated for OSCAR for Best Costume Design (beat out by "Barry Lyndon" that year)! This crazy Bob Mackie (it's more a Mackie dress than a Aghayan dress, so I'm figuring this was all Mackie... and similar to the Carol Channing hoop outfit by Bob Mackie I have available on this website!) dress of pink hearts and hoop skirt with matching bloomers (no wings) under was worn by Barbra Streisand in the "Funny Lady" movie (for just a short time) in a scene with Ben Vereen entitled "So Long Honey Lamb". A longer version of this scene was filmed (I have some of those photos shown in the additional photos), and the B&W large photo was part of the press kit for the film. The full song can also be heard in full on the soundtrack album. ALSO the dress is prominently shown hanging in Fanny Brice's dressing room at a particularly dramatic moment in the movie during her first reunion with Nicky Arnstein (Omar Sharif). Screen worn robes from this movie sold for $2,750 and $3,000 at auction in 2004... and her wacky "The Owl And The Pussycat" Costume sold for $15,600 at that same auction... so obviously the wackier the better!! :) Item was in the hands of a Aspen Colorado estate, then to an Antique Dealer (who didn't know anything about it other than it was worn by Barbra Streisand in something... and then on to the current owner. Thanks to Lou, the incredible Streisand historian, this dress has again been matched to its movie heritage. I hope the next buyer makes SURE to keep the COA information with the dress! EXCELLENT condition. Pantaloons are attached! :) Dress is in NEAR MINT condition and has the "TBS" written inside (I've seen this before on Streisand items). Tiny spots found here and there (see photos) are barely worth a mention. There are underarms shields attached, so this was to be worn by Barbra, not just the dress hung in the dressing room). Measures: up to 40" bust, 50" long from shoulder to hem. Hoop is still perfect!!! $ 3,500. SOLD on LAYAWAY

RARELY SEEN on the OPEN MARKET outside of the major auction houses! Authentic Katharine Hepburn gown worn in "Adam's Rib" co-starring Spencer Tracy. Designed by the legendary Walter Plunkett (also costume designer for "Gone with the Wind"!)... as Mr. Plunkett is specifically listed as costume designer for Katharine Hepburn on this movie! GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC (I'm always skeptical of COA's, so I make absolutely sure everything is correct! So should you! :) as it comes with a copy of the MGM production number list which shows "Adam's Rib" as production number 1457. And as you can see, this sewn on label has the matching production number, as well as the "K. Hepburn" name. And to top it off, you can watch the movie "Adam's Rib" on youtube. Just fast forward to the first scene (about 5:25 in) with Hepburn and Tracy, and you will see this robe! This dressing gown is a weighty crepe of a light goldenrod color (more golden than it appears in photos). Double tie at waistband. Embroidered Collar. Bat short sleeves. Gathered detail at waist to show off the body to its best advantage. The material of the gown is still very strong, and it's in great condition other than the minor spots here and there (some shown in photos) and more spots and dirt at hemline. Rarely are Hollywood memorabilia pieces in pristine condition. You just have to forgive that in exchange for the history. One other thing to mention is that the front seam is unsewn, so will just need a quick sewing machine stitching up (I don't have a machine, so I will leave this "as is" for the next owner). Measures: 60" long from shoulder to hem, and about 35/36" bust, 26/27" waist (size isn't exact due to ties). $ 4,500. SOLD on LAYAWAY

#5174 - c. 1981 LAUREN BACALL's Tony Award Winning (Best Actress in a Musical) Performance in "WOMAN OF THE YEAR"! Fully Beaded Gown Designed by the Famous Theoni V. Aldredge! Oh my! What an incredible find! New to the Market!! Direct from the owner who got this from her friend Max Hager, who worked in the industry for 40+ years. He worked on Woman of the Year on Broadway, and Miss Bacall requested that he join her on the road for another year, which he did. Afterward, Miss Bacall gave these gowns to him. I say "gowns" because there are TWO! One with the Miss Bacall label, the other was the understudy's (or back-up) gown. Exactly the same, even the same size, but the understudy (or back-up) gown is in better condition, and is not lined (and has no opening at the top of the zipper at back - see photos - probably created for Ms. Bacall for comfort). The Bacall labeled gown also has a heavier metal zipper. This "Bacall" gown is being sold with two separate beaded sleeves. The understudy (back-up) gown will be sold with the long swatch of beaded material (which might have been used to cover the zipper at back - worn like a scarf. Not sure about that). Measures: 34-35" bust, up to 27" waist, up to 38" hips, 60" long from shoulder to hem. Condition for the Bacall labeled gown is Fair/Good as there are beads missing that will need re-beading and likely more that will need reinforcing. There is a large tear under one arm, and a bit of pulling at zipper. The understudy (back-up) gown is in better condition of Good/Very Good, but has a few small holes at mid bust that will need lining/repair (see photos) and extreme minor pulling at the zipper. There are beads missing on this gown as well, but extras will come with it. An easy re-beading as they are in a straight line! Simple ... So... this is an historic gown for two, er three, I mean FOUR reasons.... from LAUREN BACALL (living Hollywood legend!!), worn for a TONY AWARD WINNING performance, designed by THEONI V. ALDREDGE (famous costumer!), and created by BARBARA MATERA (the top costume builder who built many of Bob Mackie's creations!). NEW LISTING!

It came to me directly from the production studio where it was previously worn by HALLE BERRY in the movie "PERFECT STRANGER". I haven't watched the movie so I can't tell you if it's actually in the movie, or on the cutting room floor, but it really doesn't matter, because this coat is special enough even without any movie provenance! Heck, it's a Martin Grant!! That means that it originally cost over $2,000 and it looks and feels as expensive as it was!! Exceptional color of a steel blue/gray that you have hardly ever seen before. SOOOO soft you will never want to take it off and you will want to wear it with nothing under. SOLDYoutube.com has clips of Julie Andrews
wearing this cloak on Sept. 13, 1972 from the
first episode of the "Julie Andrews' Hour "
variety show~#4653 - c. September 13, 1923 JULIE ANDREWS Worn Ivory Wool and Gold Lame Embroidered Cloak with Hood! Worn on the FIRST episode of her multi Emmy Award Winning "Julie Andrews' Hour" Variety Show singing "If Ever I Should Leave You" from the Broadway show "Camelot"! I researched to try to find out when and where Julie Andrews wore this cloak. Since the cloak looked to be "medieval" in style, I thought perhaps she wore it as Guenevere in Broadway's "Camelot". But all photos from the Broadway show showed other cloaks. So... I found nothing until I posted the question on the Julie Andrews Online website and within minutes "Christina" found the clip of Julie in the cloak singing "If Ever I Would Leave You" from Camelot - that's all I needed to find the rest of the information! In the clip, aired on September 13th, 1972 during her FIRST episode of her variety show, she is wearing the underdress that I don't own, but it IS this cloak! The cloak is in Fabulous condition (just a tiny bit of tarnish inside at hem, and probably some sequins missing but you'd have to search to find that).. and beautifully made! Very heavy. Exquisite gold lame (the kind they don't make anymore!) on an ivory wool weave fabric with diamond shaped detailing. Extraordinary gold lame embroidery with sequins and beading border the cape at all edges, including the large gold lame lined hood. The gold lame dress shown under the cloak does NOT come with it, and was NOT original to Julie Andrews ... rather it is an original 1920's gold bullion lace dress slightly redesigned that just looked nice under the cloak. The dress is available separately. Cloak measures 58" long in front shoulder to hem, 76" long in back. Excellent condition. $ 2,250. SOLD

I purchased this bridal gown ("wedding gown" for Google search purposes) from NBC's "Passions" Soap Opera liquidation sale. This is the gown from the FINAL EPISODE, worn by Theresa (Lindsay Hartley) to end the 9-year soap opera run. I found some photos to confirm as you know how it works on soaps.... every character is at least married 3 or 4 times by the time they are 30! ~:), but indeed... it's from the GRAND FINALE! Check it out with the close-up photos. A gorgeous ethereal sparkly tulle skirt over white base skirt... with a fully beaded and sequined strapless boned bodice with a faux very wide beaded waistband. The back is just as beautiful as the front with a satin corseted lacing! Massive tulle under! SOLD#6590 - c. 1980's Red Lace Gown from the Estate of Hotelier LEONA HELMSLEY! I purchased 11 gowns from the legionary Leona Helmsley - "Queen of the Mean" as she was known. With her wealth of over $5 Billion Dollars... she was one of the richest women in the world in the 1980's! Most of her gowns were custom made for her “by Julia,” the personal, full-time seamstress who designed on dress forms in a separate wing of Helmsley’s opulent living quarters! This gown is one of the "simple" ones.... completely covered in red lace, lined everywhere but the long sleeves. Flattering shape with low squared neckline front and back, fitted bodice with low waist and slightly a-line skirt. Nicely lacy at the hemline as well as the low waist. Excellent condition. Back zipper. You know what they say about "The Lady in Red"! :) Oh, and this is the perfect gown to show off your naked neckline just awaiting that massive ruby necklace! :) Measures: 36" bust, up to 29" waist, up to 41" hips, 58" long from shoulder to hem. SOLD#4689 - c. 1860's Repro for the 2002 "Gangs of New York" Screen Worn by David Hemmings as Mr. Schermerhorn Plaid Velvet and Quilted Plush "At Home" or Smoking Jacket! Disclaimer: I'm told it's screenworn, but I must tell you that I hated this movie, so I couldn't bear to watch it again to look for this smoking coat, so I'll leave it up to you. Frankly I didn't care since I bought this particular piece for it's incredibly accurate antique look. Most of the costumes from that movie were lower-class characters and therefore purposely dirty and worn. NOT THIS PIECE! As this was one of the few Upper Class characters. Worn by actor David Hemmings... perhaps best known for starring in the 1966 x rated movie, "Blow Up" with high fashion model Veruschka. Excellent condition and extremely elegant. Brown plaid velveteen with brown plush quilting at collar and long cuffs, with claret color rope trim and velvet cuff buttons. Frog closures at front. Measures: 44" long shoulder to hem, 25.5" long sleeves from outside shoulder seam to cuff. Fully lined. So... get him his slippers and pipe and play "Gentleman of the house"... you can be the French maid! :) Comes with COA from Miramax Films and prop company. $ 785. SOLD

SOLD#6135 - c. 2004 MARCHESA NOTTE Seafoam Plunging Halter Slightly Trained Gown! OK, I'm showing the photos of Jennifer Lopez wearing her Marchesa gown on the red carpet sometime in 2003/2004. I would love to tell you exactly which event she wore this to, but I can't remember. (Perhaps there are some JLo fans out there who can let me know!). All I remember is seeing her in this gown and swooning! At first sight it became one of my all-time favorite gowns...ever! So... when I found this Marchesa Notte version of the gown, I just HAD to have it! Same exact look though JLo's gown probably had beading at the waistband. This gown has silver passementarie that gives the impression of beading. Excellent condition with a few minor issues as the gown was worn... likely only once. There are tiny little spots at midback pleating (only seen when you look directly down her back!), tiny light marks at skirt side, and small purply spots along the hemline. See photos for all these issues. A dry-cleaner might do wonders, but it's certainly wearable as is! Measures: 34/35" bust, 25" waist, 57" long in front from shoulder to hem, 61" long in back. Also Listed in the 1930-Today Category. $ 745. SOLD

![]()
SOLD on LAYAWAY#4232 - c. 2004 "13 Going On 30" JENNIFER GARNER Worn Black Leather Jacket! It's almost worth gaining a few pounds so I can keep this jacket and wear it myself! Unfortunately, I'd also have to grow a few inches taller, and that is less likely to happen. So.. for all you size 8, 5'6" or better gals... if you don't love this jacket, I will start to wonder about you! The softest, thinnest, finest quality lamb leather. Weighs almost nothing!! Like a second skin! Like "butter!" :) Beautifully fitted at the wide waistband, neckline and cuffs is a unique criss-cross leather "mesh". Front silver zipper with leather tab at bottom and top. Zip down for sexy look. Zip up for high-fashion look. Jennifer Garner has an amazing following! And, I confess, I love her myself! NOTE: Jennifer Garner's Versace dress from this movie went for $4,000+, her eye mask sold for $1,000 (!!!) and one pink nighty sold for $1,600! As far as I'm concerned, this is the best piece of the bunch! Comes with COA. Measures: 35" bust, 30" waist, 25" long arms from shoulder (that's much too long for me at 5'2"). Also Listed in the 1930-Today Category. $ 1,750. SOLD on LAYAWAY

(check measurements above)AUTHENTIC Oil Painting of Mary Pickford!
SOLD#3801 - c. 1910-1920 Oil Painting Portrait of MARY PICKFORD by HENRY CLIVE! Originally purchased by Charlene Tilton from the 1981 Mary Pickford Estate Sale!! I do not specialize in artwork. However, when an item of this quality and beauty is within my grasp, it's impossible NOT to purchase!! I purchased the painting from Sotheby's and comes with the verbal provenance from this prestigious auction house... that Charlene Tilton (famous from her TV role on the popular "Dallas" saga series) purchased the portrait from the Mary Pickford estate sale. This beautifully painted original oil portrait by Henry Clive of a young Mary Pickford holding purple flowers. The dark background and dress set off the luminous skin and long reddish blonde hair (which helps to date the portrait to pre-1921 when her hair was this length).
The large 22 x 30 in. canvas is on a wooden stretcher and framed in wood with a green velvet liner and an overall size of 26 1¦2 in. x 32 1¦2 in. The wooden frame is likely not original... as it's not much. I would certainly consider re-framing. The painting is in Excellent condition, with slight scrape at the bottom of the picture (white thin scrapes... hard to know if original to the painting or scrapes!). A once in a lifetime chance to own an original early oil painting of "America's Sweetheart" which may have hung at the equally famous "Pickfair" home of Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks, Sr.$ 15,000. SOLD#6071 - c. 1980's VALENTINO COUTURE Coral Linen Dress Previously Owned by Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan! Valentino dressed Jordan's Queen Alia in the 1970s, and when Queen Noor followed in 1978, Valentino was also selected to design for her. Top of the line Valentino Couture, this is a simple linen day dress in apricot, with linen bands of gray light blue, light green and yellow. Slight blouson styling. Hand finished zipper at back. "The Blind Side"
SOLD#7188 - c. 2009 Movie Worn from "THE BLIND SIDE" (starring Sandra Bullock) Cheerleader Outfit! So much fun... a piece of memorabilia from the Oscar Nominated film "The Blind Side". There were obviously a few of these Milford Lions cheerleader outfits (as there are a few cheerleaders), so this isn't one of a kind, but you likely won't find another for less! Great red, white and black polyester with the embroidered Lions appliqued on. Cropped sleeveless crew neck top with pleated short skirt. I purchased directly from the production company. You'll have to get your own pompoms. Measures: 34" bust, 28" waist, 15.5" long skirt. Excellent condition. Has two different actresses names on the two pieces, so this was "mix and match" by the production company. They didn't seem to notice or care when they sold them. NEW LISTING! $ 195. SOLD

(check measurements above)AUTHENTIC - CAROL CHANNING Gown
SOLD#3282 - c. 1960's Incredible CAROL CHANNING Sequin and Tulle Television and/or Stage Worn Trained Gown by Award Winning Grace Costumes, New York! Ah, if only I could find photographs of Carol wearing this gown I could tell you where she wore it. Some day I'll find the answer.... but, of course, that might increase the price, so best if you purchase before I get smarter! :) Obviously it wasn't worn off stage! I was told it was from a TV special. "Ms. Carol Channing" is written on the costumer tag. The gown is completely covered in sequins on a black and metallic floss fabric. Trimmed at neckline, hem and front skirt kicks in black tulle studded with sequins. The "lines" you see down the front of the gown on each side are strips of off-white velvet. These are stained (see close-up photos), but can EASILY be replaced with new matching velvet as they are just tacked on. The only other issue is that some of the silver sequins have turned gold colored (mostly on left lower corner of dress). You can leave as is, or touch up with silver pen if you wish, or replace. Heavy duty back metal zipper at back. This beauty weighs a ton! Huge train swings most of the way around the hemline. Measures: 36" bust, 28" waist, up to 41" hips, 60"-87" long from shoulder to hem. $ 1,285. SOLD

Click on image for additional photos!#5619 - c. 1930's "Adrian?" Hollywood Coral Crepe Gown with Beaded Straps! NOTE: From the Same Museum Collection as the Katherine Hepburn "Adam's Rib" gown!! Alrighty then.... you need to pay attention! Here's the scoop. First off, this gown doesn't have any labels. Secondly, it's not in perfect condition as there are dirty areas on the lower skirt as well as a few minor holes that get lost in the folds.... AND on inspection, beads have been replaced near one underarm which are different from the original beads. Now... with all that said... this coral crepe gown with beaded shoulder straps and twisted gathered bodice was deaccessioned from the same small Oklahoma museum as the Authenticated and labeled Kate Hepburn gown (I sold and currently being displayed at the new Katharine Hepburn museum in her home town of Old Saybrook, CT) worn in "Adam's Rib", designed by Walter Plunkett. These two gowns were donated to the museum by a golden-era MGM seamstress who had all sorts of items from the studios. This gown was said to be "movie worn", but sadly I have not documentation. However the metal side zipper does help to confirm it was a costume gown. I just have a feeling it is an Adrian designed gown. For fun, I paired the gown with a fabulously matching turquoise and coral beaded bolero - I purchased this bolero from the Hollywood dealer who also had the Barrymore cape (also on this website), so it's certainly possible the bolero was also a Hollywood designer piece! They just went together so beautifully.... so I photographed them together. But they will be sold separately. The bolero is in excellent condition. Price for this gown would be much higher if I could confirm who wore it, when and where. Measures: 33-35" bust, up to 27" waist, bias hips, 61" long from shoulder to hem. Bolero best for 33" bust. $ 1,250. SOLD on LAYAWAY (gown only)

Owned and Worn
SOLD#4340 - c. Spring 1966 Collection CHRISTIAN DIOR, PARIS Couture and Numbered Dress Owned by BARBRA STREISAND! Yup... Barbra Streisand loves vintage clothing! And this dress was purchased from her recent auction. Amazingly... I have the VOGUE magazine from March 15, 1966 with Barbra on the cover. The article?? "Barbra Streisand at the Paris Collections"! SO.. not only was this dress Barbra's... but we have strong proof (since the dates match perfectly)... that she bought the dress in 1966 during her photo shoot for Vogue!!!! So it's been in her collection since then. Imagine all the times she admired this dress... and now you can own it! Black stiff lace babydoll style with scalloped neckline, short sleeves and hemline. The entire two-tied lace skirt is finely knife-pleated. Black satin ribbon and bow at the slight empire waist. And, as you can see... sheer yoke and sleeves. Metal zipper at back. Excellent condition in everything but the fact that Barbra did not store the dress properly (amazingly!!!) and there is some mildew on the lining and satin ribbon. "Bad Barbra"!! Still with a bit of cleaning, it's nearly perfect! And a COUTURE dress with AMAZING history and PROVENANCE! Measures: 34" bust, 28" underbust, up to 38" hips, 37" long from shoulder to hem. Also Listed in the Museum Section. $ 2,750. SOLD

SOLD#4308 - c. 2003 Original Movie Jockey Silks or Racing Silks from "Seabiscuit" starring Toby Maguire! Well, let's see.... Seabiscuit's saddle sold at auction for $215,000! You can get a piece of Seabiscuit's history for a lot less. Or at least from the wonderful 2003 movie version, as I have three HISTORICALLY ACCURATE to 1938 sets of jockey silks. As it states in the Seabiscuit movie production notes: "All the specialty clothing in the film for the lead actors and particularly all of the custom silks adorning the jockeys were painstakingly created." This set is a brilliant turquoise blue and blush pink satin shirt with matching riding overcap and off-white silk twill riding pants. You would have to be a real jockey's size to wear this as it's tiny, but makes a great display!!! Looks unworn, so it was likely used as a back-up outfit, or on-screen hanging in the tackroom. $ 395. SOLD
