# 4885 - c. 1980's BOB MACKIE Couture Gold and White Beaded Slightly Trained Gown! Previously Owned by Whitney Houston! One of the Holy Grail Mackie pieces!!! Top couture Bob Mackie gown previously owned by Whitney Houston!! This gown weighs an unbelievable 7 pounds!! This gown was not meant for the general public. This is a couture piece with no lining. So it's sheer, but only slightly as the beads cover most every square inch of the nude net background. The body shows through at certain areas. Measures: 35" bust, up to 26" waist, up to 36" hips, 60" long from shoulder to hem in front, 63" long in back. Excellent condition. If there are any beads missing, you will have to spend hours searching. Sharon Stone's Mackie beaded gown from "Casino" sold at auction for $13,200. And the original cost of this piece new would have easily been $15,000+. These are the Mackies that will end up in museums... not the newer pieces that are just "pretty gowns". # 11071 - Original WHITNEY HOUSTON's Gold and Amber Open Knit Slightly Trained Gown Studded with Rhinestones all Over! This dress came to me from someone who was at the A.J. Willner auction, and purchased these directly. Thanks to my super Whitney fan, Jace, who sent me this photo of Whitney in the gown and wrote to me: "Here's a gown we fans are familiar with!" Originally Jace believed this to be worn worn while sitting in the audience at the Ebony Magazine 50th Anniversary Special in November, 1996. However, finally a COLOR photo of that was uncovered, and she was wearing an exact match to this gown in white. Whitney often had various colors of outfits she liked, so we now know she had this gown in white as well as gold. The photo below of Whitney wearing this exact gold gown was thought to be from November, 1998 concert in Atlantic City at Donald Trump's Taj Mahal while promoting her album My Love Is Your Love, There is an article about that event, and one photo of Whitney wearing a red jumpsuit during that show, but in the article it states that Whitney changed out of the red jumpsuit, but sadly it doesn't specify what she changed into.... and I have yet to find any photos or additional information. Perhaps Donald Trump has photos???? :) So it wasn't until I researched even further to find the same photo with an ImageCollect watermark said to be a photo of Whitney wearing this gown at the Cipriani Horel in NYC on November 18, 1998. Photo is by John Barrett/Globe Photos (copywright 1998). There are other photos ( you can google search) of that dinner/show at Cipriani that year showing Donald Trump sitting at a table with Melania (prior to their marriage) and actor Kevin Costner. So researching this gown has been difficult, but looks like it's finally confirmed to be as worn at Cipriani. Whether it was additionally worn at the Taj Mahal the same month/year... hopefully photos will be found! Measures: 62-65" long but as with any bias stretch dress, that length will change depending how much or little you stretch it out! Fantastic gown in great condition. No label inside this piece. There are just a few rhinestones that have come off, but I have them... you'll hardly be able to figure out where they came from! LOVE the open knit long bell sleeves!!!! Slightly trained. #11072 - Original WHITNEY HOUSTON's Trained Red Stretch Halter Gown with Metallic "Sparkles"! This gown came to me from someone who was at the A.J. Willner auction, and purchased these directly. I have a copy of the original receipt which will come with the gown... that also shows the item number from the auction listing. This gown JUST came to me, and I've not been able to locate any photos of Whitney wearing this gown yet, but it's only a matter of time. I've found so many photos of so many of the other items sold at this auction. The biggest problem is that these are from the 1990s prior to cellphone cameras, so fewer photos exist of concerts from back then. Sadly. Probably a Marc Bouwer, but no label. The gown will fit you better than this mannequin as there are bust pads inside, and this mannequin has hard breasts, so doesn't do well with the bust pads... so I couldn't zip up the back. But you'll be able to if you are small breasted. Long sexy slit at front and slightly trained back! Cool!!! The only issue is the circle ornament at the middle that has lost all the rhinestones (as they were only glued on - very Marc Bouwer thing to do!), HOWEVER I have ALL the rhinestones to glue back on. I can do it, or you can. A few are still on so you can see how it will look. Really no big deal... just a little 10 minute project. Very stretchy red knit with metallic sparkles. Measures at very long 71" - 85" long. Fantastic gown in great condition (other than the circle ornament). Comes with the A.J. Willner Auction receipt and Antiquedress.com COA.

#11073 - Original WHITNEY HOUSTON's Black Stretch Velvet One Shoulder Gown with Gorgeous Rhinestone Pin at Side! This gown came to me from someone who was at the A.J. Willner auction, and purchased these directly. I have a copy of the original receipt which will come with the gown... that also shows the item number from the auction listing. This gown JUST came to me, and I've not been able to locate any photos of Whitney wearing this gown yet, but it's only a matter of time. I've found so many photos of so many of the other items sold at this auction. The biggest problem is that these are from the 1990s prior to cellphone cameras, so fewer photos exist of concerts from back then. Sadly. Probably a Marc Bouwer, but no label. The strangeness of this gown is that you have to really pull this across the bust and attach with a pin or sew yourself into the gown for it to cover the breast. Otherwise it's possible that Whitney wore it with a sheer blouse under so it would look more like the green velvet gown below. Either way it's great, but needs a small bust to fit as you see, as well as a pin at the upper side (I just used a safety pin for the photo). Very stretchy black velvet. GREAT rhinestone pin! #w07 - Original WHITNEY HOUSTON's Red Jacket by GIANFRANCO FERRE with Fantastic Gold Embroidery and Red Jeweled Buttons over a DIANE Gold "Chainmail" Stretch Catsuit! This outfit came to me from someone who was at the A.J. Willner auction, and purchased these directly. I have a copy of the original receipt which will come with the outfit .. that also shows the item number from the auction listing. I have not yet had any time to research to see if I can find a photo of Whitney wearing this item, but I've seen a similar red ornamental jacket. If Whitney loved a look, she would duplicate it in various colors and slightly different styles. This Gianfranco Ferre jacket looks like it was custom made for Whitney as it closes with an interesting "insideout" buttons. But what do I know?? Both pieces are labeled and are in great condition, though the inner lining of the catsuit is torn at the crotch (can't be seen from the exterior), so just needs to be re-sewn if you care. #w09 - Original WHITNEY HOUSTON's White "Cellophane" Look Beaded Bib Front Turtleneck Gown! Yikes! This gown came to me from someone who was at the A.J. Willner auction, and purchased these directly. I have a copy of the original receipt which will come with the gown.. that also shows the item number from the auction listing. I have not yet had any time to research to see if I can find a photo of Whitney wearing this piece, but it's one of the small ones... though quite stretchy... so perhaps it was worn when she was at her thinnest? 1997ish??? There is a hanging beaded "bib" at the front. I've seen another similar piece, but I can't remember where she wore that one, and I haven't had the time to go search again. There is a long slit at the skirt back for movement. This piece isn't in as perfect a condition as some others. There is a large "water" spot at upper back shoulder (see photo) and a bit of makeup spots here and there. At least you know for sure she wore it!!!! :) White is always the hardest to clean, and this fabric is totally unique, so even though Whitney had an excellent costume cleaner, this one must have been a challange. #4899 - Original WHITNEY HOUSTON's Ruby Red Stretch Velvet Gown with Completely Beaded Skirt! I gotta assume this is another Marc Bouwer gown as it's another stretch velvet with beading, but because there were two small areas of beading that needed to be rebeaded, I left this gown in a box waiting the 30 minutes or so of free time I might have to rebead it. However, that time never came, so the gown is being sold "as is", with the beads still hanging from a thread. This gown is very similar to one Whitney wore in 1994 (see photos). But I have yet to find the photo of her wearing this gown. Just need time to search... but if I didn't have time to bead... who has the time to search! If anyone out there can identify this gown, please let me know, so I can pass it on to the buyer. THANKS! #4907 - Original WHITNEY HOUSTON's White Jersey Gown with Sequin Bodice with Matching Coat with Sequined Cuffs! How would you like to walk down the aisle in Whitney Houston's gown? I figure this would make a wonderful wedding gown! It's a wonderfully white, simply elegant gown with a totally sequined bodice giving it just the right amount of flash. Wear with or without the matching coat. NOTE: This gown doesn't look like it was ever worn, nor finished. There is no hem yet, it's just cut. And the straps are just straight pinned on and not yet cut to size. But that's the good news... as it keeps this very white gown...very white! Excellent condition with just one hint of very light smudge near the bottom of the gown. but unless you are a giant, you will be hemming this up! It's a wild 70" long from shoulder to end!!! It's also much larger than most of her gowns, so perhaps they were planning to tailor it, but never got around to it. Measures: 38" bust, up to 45" hips. Coat is 45" long from shoulder to hem.

Do you think Whitney was channeling Cher from the 1960's? Think how much more beautiful it will be with actual arms! Show off your abs while dressing exquisitely! Very dark brown stretch velvet gown with gold beaded trim in the crisscross design edging the sides and midriff large cutouts. Low "v" neckline to also show a bit of cleavage. Excellent condition. Measures: 68" long from shoulder to hem, 23" waist (the trim buttons at mid-back so this may be more of a ribcage issue), 34" long slit up front of skirt!!

#4901 - Original WHITNEY HOUSTON's Silver and Black Metallic Weave Gown with Matching Tailored Jacket by Karl Lagerfeld! Top of the line Lagerfeld label at couture level. Lagerfeld is yet another A-list star favorite.... as seen on Nicole Kidman and dare I say, Lindsey Lohan. The material is the star of this piece... doesn't need any other glitz! The elegant gown has a plunging neckline and mermaid hemline and unique bodice tailoring. The jacket is very sporty in it's shape and detailing for eveningwear. Belted, with vertical logo zippers at bust, large patch pockets and tabbed lapel. Same fabulous metallic woven fabric as the gown. Near Mint condition. Measures: 36" bust, up to 28" waist, up to 37" hips. The gown was "as found" with hem out, so you can hem to your height, but you can still see the hem fold at about 68" long from shoulder to hem!!! Labeled size 40 which equals US Size 10 according to the charts, but we all know that French women have tiny butts, so I suggest you may want to size down to fit our American asses. :) Mine included! :)

#6853 - c. Spring 2009 CARMEN MARC VALVO Dress worn by Whitney Houston for the Cover Shoot of her 2009 Album "I Look To You" and Used for her First Single "Million Dollar Bill" off that Album! I'm sure you've all hear by now that Whitney Houston is BACK! And in celebration of that, I have purchased a new Whitney dress for you!!! Worn by Whitney for the cover photoshoot for her 2009 album. Frankly I can't believe she didn't choose this photo of the album cover, as I think it's SO much more flattering (and looks more like her) than the photo she did choose, but I think the answer is in the fact that there were too many comparing the look to Mariah Carey's cover of her "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel". SO.... Anyway, I have "THE" dress! :) I'm sure you will see others who claim they have "the" dress, but this came directly from Carmen Marc Valvo and Whitney through a recent auction. The auction valued this dress at $3,500 so who am I to argue with them?? FYI, Mr. Valvo's cocktail dresses usually retail for $1,300 - $1,800 and his 2009 fall collection will include $2,400 dresses. So the dress alone is worth money... but certainly it's the Whitney cache that makes this dress truly "priceless"!!! Excellent condition. Size 2. Meticulously crafted in black patent and lace!! #4898 - c. 1990's Original WHITNEY HOUSTON's Black Velvet Miniskirt Completely Covered in Gold Lace and Multicolored Cabochon and Faceted Jewels!! I can't seem to get a great photo of this skirt. This is the 3rd time I've tried. It's SO vibrant in person, and just looks slightly dull in the photos. OH, and it's too small for my usual mannequin (as she has 35" hips - I keep trying to put her on a diet, but she refuses!!) So I have to break out the other mannequin, but haven't done that yet. Am I sounding lazy? Or am I just so busy I don't have time to breathe!!! Anyway, if I get around to it, I will get more photos up, but otherwise, please look at what photos I DO have. Really... go look NOW!!! The close-up photos should help. Whatever you see, just know it's better than that! Gold, ruby, emerald, sapphire, amber, diamond, topaz, amethyst, and many other colors of the rainbow cabochon and faceted faux jewels all over the skirt in gold lame lace!!! Fabulous spring-look zipper pull! Measures: 24" waist, 34" hips, 18" long. Excellent condition. There is some stretch to the skirt, but not Whitney's usual amount, so you need to be small for this. Damn, I'm looking at it now and it's just SO sparkly! This was one of the highlights at the auction. I think the buyers actually gasped when it came up!

#4922 - c. 1994 Original Owned and Worn WHITNEY HOUSTON's Black Rhinestone Covered Wool Crepe Stage Jacket! Thanks again to Whitney's #1 fan Jace.... a video of Whitney wearing this jacket has been found on Youtube (see the video by clicking on the link under the photo!) Whitney often had various colors of items she loved (some just slightly different from the others). I've now sold three similar jackets in white, yellow and purple. This jacket has a bit more wear as she was jumping around a lot in that video!!! Dropping a few "mirrors" off this jacket! But DAMN, it looks AWESOME on her and on stage!!!! The best look of the bunch!! Black wool crepe studded all over with sparkling rhinestones in diagonal design. There are additional diamond shaped large rhinestones lining the low "v" neckline and down sleeves and front. Closes with snaps under (as this was a costume). Padded shoulders as you would expect. Fully lined. Measures: up to 37" bust, up to 31" waist, up to 37" hips, 31" long from shoulder to hem. Excellent condition except there are 3 diamond shaped rhinestones missing, and one cracked. There is one you can "harvest" from under the cuff, and two of the missing ones are at the top of each sleeve, so it is hardly noticed. It's a minor issue for a Whitney Houston stage piece!

#4887 - c. 1990's ATELIER VERSACE Nude Silk Chiffon Beaded and Trained Gown with Beaded Gossamer and Boned Body Undergarment Owned By Whitney Houston and Worn On-Stage July 6, 1998 in Paris during European Tour and to her own Gala Event (see youtube link)! In 1989 Gianni Versace opened Atelier Versace, his couture workshop producing the "top of the line" pieces. This is one of his creations prior to his death in 1997. These Atelier gowns can cost up to $90,000! Each! :) If you want a new Atelier Versace gown now, they closed shop in 2004 and now will only design for privileged customers.. sometimes waiting 4 months for their gowns to be completed!! Pick any A-list name and you will find them in Atelier Versace.... Uma Thurman, Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson, Charlize Theron, Penelope Cruz, etc. And now you can add your name to the list! As thin a nude material as you can find, wrapped and beaded with gold floral design. The back has a nude panel to practically disappear when on, and then comes the gossamer golden near cellophane-like panel to barely cover your leg at the extreme high side slit. This panel is also rhinestoned and trained. The gown has a complete inner boned bodysuit so no other undergarments are necessary. I could price this gown easily at $10,000, but thanks to Whitney, I bought this gown at the right price... and I'm allowing you loads of $$ to take to one of those ridiculously overpriced couture dry-cleaners to get the internal body suit spot cleaned (see photos) so it will be good as new! Measures: 33/34" bust, 25-27" waist, 36/37" hips, 62" long from shoulder to hem in front, 77" long in back. After trying it on (unbelieveable cleavage for my 34C bust!), for those of you with larger bums (like me), you might just need an extension for the inner bodysuit for comfort. Not a big deal). Excellent condition except for inner bodice bodysuit which has what can only be described as crud to get cleaned. Whitney wore the gown again briefly onstage at the International Achievement in Arts Awards in Sept. 98. If it's good enough for Halle Berry at the Oscars and Whitney Houston... it's good enough for you!! Only rarely, as I spend most of my time working on this website!!! No time to go anyway. My job is to dress YOU! However, I was an usher at a local theater production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and needed something perfect to wear to get the audience "in the mood". I wore this sexy, tight-fitted number with black beading at neckline and hipline, black macrame also at the hipline, and then that great overskirt of long silk fringe originally worn by Whitney Houston! I got a thrill from telling people who wore it before me... as well as from over-heading the ladies in the audience say to each other "look at that great dress". The fringe moves with you as you shimmy, it shimmies! It looks better on when you actually have arms! :) Impossible to measure. Totally stretchy! There were so many wonderful gowns at the Whitney Houston auction, but some are even more special than others! This is one! After purchasing over 50 wardrobe items from the auction, I have been searching for photos of Whitney wearing the gowns, dresses, bustiers, jackets, etc. I know for a fact that if Whitney liked a style, she would purchase in a variety of colors. It's possible that the clip and photo of Whitney in this gown is actually a lighter colored version, but hard to tell if it's the lighting or the gown! Anyway... this one is a dark brown stretch velvet halter gown dripping with deep cranberry drop beads in five rows around the gown! Comes with matching plain stretch velvet long sleeved coat. SO... that keeps them priced more affordably! This gown is very sheer chiffon (as you can see) even though it's 2 layers! #4908 - c. 1994 Original WHITNEY HOUSTON 3-Piece Deerskin colored Stretch Beaded Skirt and Zip Front Matching Jacket! Comes with Matching Plain Stretch Pants! Worn On-Stage at the Soul Train Awards, in March, 1994. Whitney opened the show singing "It's All in Me" by MARC BOUWER (unlabeled but confirmed by Paul Margolin, President of Marc Bouwer)! I call this the "Indian" suit as it is the color of deerskin and the beading reminds me of the fringe you would see on traditional Native American dress. In actuality, it's a stretch heavy cotton-texture, zip front suit jacket with beaded bodice, beaded hemline and beading around sleeves. Then the matching miniskirt has beading at the hem, so you see 2 rows of beading at the hemline! The beads dangle from elaborate woven ribbons. The plain matching pants can be exchanged for the skirt for two different looks. Excellent condition. I found a quick video of Whitney singing "It's All In Me" in this outfit... with the pants, but I don't know yet at what event. Look QUICKLY.... it's the first outfit on the video, and it's just a peak, but no question it is the outfit! Looks like something she might have worn during her South African performance. Hard to measure as it's very stretchy! Probably best up to 34" bust, 26" waist, up to 36" hips. But certainly can go smaller (looks great on the mannequin at 30" bust, 23" waist, 34" hips!)... and may go a bit larger.. mostly in the bust. Heavy zipper at front. Black stretch The matching rhinestone studded Pamela Dennis dress originally sold for $1,400+. Near Mint condition. Impossible to measure as it's very stretchy! But I'm 5'2" tall with fairly long torso for my height (yes, that means I have midget legs - stop laughing!!!). Anyway, this fits me very well at 33"/34" C bust (oh, la la - the cleavage!) ... and fits the mannequin at 35" bust.. might even go to 36" bust. The straps are short and tight and the crotch is fine. If you are Whitney height you may need a crotch extender (like a bra extender).... all depends on your hip measurement. These stretch garments are HARD to measure!! SOOO sparkly on as you move! Thanks to Jace, who seems to be a walking encyclopedia of Whitney's wardrobe, I have a photo of Whitney wearing this gown on the cover of Jet magazine, and more information than I thought possible! Jace says that the gown was worn once during Whitney's "The Bodyguard" World Tour (June 1993 - October 1994). The gown was worn during the second part of the USA leg, sometime during that summer of 1994. There are only two known photos of Whitney in this gown... I'm showing the best - the other is B&W)! As stretchy as you can get in a gown (so this will look a lot better with actual legs!) so it will hug your body to show off all your curves (attention Beyonce!). Killer look!! Please look at the close up photos so you can see what this dress is made of... millions (OK, perhaps a few less) of electric blue and auroaborealis (so they have a purple hue as well) tightly woven into the stretch black netting. #4920 - c. 1990's Original WHITNEY HOUSTON's White Rhinestone Covered Lightweight Wool Stage Jacket! I've not yet found a photo or concert video of Whitney wearing this particular jacket, but as it came with the other three similar jackets in black, yellow and purple. I think it's a pretty good bet that there ARE videos and photos out there.... just need to search for them! This jacket is just lovely, but with some minor issues. Let's discuss the beauty first.. studded all over with sparkling rhinestones in swirling design and edged along long lapels with rows of the same sparkling rhinestones. Closes with large snaps under the large rhinestone buttons (as this was a costume). Padded shoulders as you would expect. Fully lined. Measures: up to 37" bust, up to 31" waist, up to 37" hips, 31" long from shoulder to hem. Excellent condition except for the light, minor reddish spots (see photos) - some look like lipstick, but others are phantom rhinestone spots from improper storage (probably just hanging next to another rhinestoned jacket - the worst of it is on one lapel (see photos). Still... these are minor issues for a Whitney Houston stage piece!

In the YouTube videos I found, she is wearing this jacket while singing "Saving all my Love for You", "So Emotional" and "Love is in Need of Love Today" and "Love Medley". Seems that purple is Whitney's favorite color, so she seems to have worn this outfit, and jacket quite a lot! Purple wool gabardine studded all over with sparkling rhinestones. Padded shoulders as you would expect. Rhinestone buttons. Fully lined. Condition is quite good but does have a few issues.... there is some old crustiness and slight discoloration on both sleeves near and on the rhinestone buttons at cuff, and also at front under rhinestone button. The year she won the Grammy for Best Album, Best Song and Best Female Vocal for "The Bodyguard" and "I Will Always Love You". You have to look at the close-up photos of the beading on this piece. I'll just sit here and wait for you while you look.... la...de...da. OK, are you back? I'm not kidding right? Fabulous!! Purples and greens, reds and pinks, orange and white. Like a Monet painting! #4902 - Original WHITNEY HOUSTON Dress of White Stretch Fringe and Silver Beading by MARC BOUWER (unlabeled but confirmed by Paul Margolin, President of Marc Bouwer)! Yeah, I know, you aren't supposed to have favorites when it comes to your "children", but I have to confess a particular fondness for the silver bustier and this wonderfully white stretch "flapper" dress. It's just a basic body-hugging tank dress, but over the skirt are two layers of white fringe, covered with silver plastic beaded fringes dangling from a beaded decorative trim below hips. At the shoulders are matching diamond beaded appliques and four rows of silver beads to tease over the breasts in front... and to entice those behind you! Looks incredible on! Wearable for a 20s costume, but also wearable as the greatest evening dress you will find! This fits me very well at 33"/34" C bust and fits the mannequin at 35" bust and will likely go to 36" bust, 36" hips best I think, 41" long from shoulder to hem.
