#9930 - c. 1980's BOB MACKIE Gold Beaded Gown on Black Net with Scattered Rhinestones!  Yup, this is one of those better and earlier "Jessica Rabbit" Mackie gowns... the ones you want to find... totally beaded onto netting. Now even at this high-end level, Mackie gowns are of various degrees of quality, uniqueness and collectability. It's a fine line, but you will start to notice the differences if you pay attention.  Some of the gowns are more sequins than beads.  Some of the beaded gowns are more heavily and intricately beaded than others. This gown is not one of the museum quality couture or original boutique gowns where the lining was easily removed, and the beads strategically placed so the gown could be worn by the most daring like Cher, but it's certainly one of the better RTW gowns with black silk crepe lining - the next generation Mackie produced. Boned bodice will stay up beautifully.  Long slit for the va-va-voom leg. The Mackie label is missing, but you have to trust me that this IS Mackie!!!  No question!!!  I feel like I'm the Mackie expert.  I guarantee it. Gold bugle beads in an "animal" pattern studded with a few flat-top rhinestones.  Measures: 35" bust, 29/30" waist, up to 39" hips, 43" long from natural waist to hem, 24" long slit! Excellent condition with the only possible issue is that the zipper doesn't lay completely flat... so for those of you who are perfectionists, it might have been re-sewn.  Otherwise, it's near perfect! NEW LISTING!

SOLD - but on display in Museum Category for Research/Display
