#9312 - c. 1940's BES-BEN Museum Quality "Fishing" Hat! My husband is a fisherman - oops, I mean fly-fisherman (seems there is a major difference). He is strictly a catch-and-release guy... thank goodness. Anyway, I had a hard time getting this hat away from him! He kept checking out the feathers to see if they would make a good fly. I'm sure some day I'll come home to find a multi-thousand dollar gown with the marabou feathers missing, if the fish happen to be biting magenta wooly buggers. OK, let's get back to the amazing hat! You know about Bes-Ben (I'll add the information again below this description). His hats are museum quality and very collectable. The wackier, the better. And THIS is Wacky!!! Green felt "cap" covered with fishing lures and feathers.. with a tall pole with more lures tied on. Comes with the original two felt covered hatpins. Excellent condition. Approximately 60 lures(!) in various sizes. I found one tiny, tiny moth nip (not hole) and one lure missing a feather. The black netting is torn at the end (netting is easily replaced!!) Start your Bes-Ben collection, or add to it with a fine piece!

SOLD - but on display in Museum Category for Research/Display
