#4998 - c. 1900 Deep Claret Red Velvet and Black Beaded 2-piece Gown Worn by Signed by Broadway Actress Patti Lupone!  Ms. Lupone wore the 2-piece Victorian period costume gown in 2005 during the stage production of "Regina" (based on Lillian Hellman's play "The Little Foxes") at the Kennedy Center.  Photos of Ms. Lupone wearing the gown on and off-stage can be downloaded.  Her signature is inside the top of the skirt. Extremely heavy, well-made costume!  The bodice alone weights 2 pounds! Gorgeous deep claret red silk  velvet dripping with black beads cascading over the bodice and "v" waistline.  The elaborate sleeves are black beading over net.  The bodice is meant to be worn off-the-shoulders, and there is nude elastic band for security. The back is lovely with the sheer matching tails draped at top and flowing down to create a train. The gown connects bodice to skirt with a row of interior buttons (ingenious!).  There is one oval bead missing, but I'm sure you can hunt yourself up a replacement.   Best for a very busty gal.  Measures: up to 39" bust, up to 29/30" waist, 56" long from shoulder to hem in front, 82" long in back, 88" from shoulder to end of long train. Note: the fan, gloves and choker are not included... nor is Ms. Lupone! :)
