1980's BOB MACKIE "Jessica Rabbit"
Red Bead and Sequin Gown with Tulip Hemline and Front Slit!
Get the same look at the more expensive Bob Mackie net beaded gowns
for about half the price!!!! This is still outrageously
gorgeous, but because it's beaded on a black silk base rather than
the more collectable net base, it's more affordable for someone just
looking to wear a Mackie! It's still a heavy (!) top-of-the-line piece.. as
it's fully beaded and sequined, and certainly has the sexy shape you
would expect. I call it my "Jessica Rabbit" gown.... and you
can probably figure that out for yourself. I'm showing the
dress as worn on a taller gal, and a shorter gal (where it will
train a bit). Either is great. Red beads and sequins on black silk.
Fully lined. This is NOT one of the less expensive Bob Mackie gowns
from recent years. Nor one of the all sequined less expensive
gowns. Nope... this is one of the better quality beaded and
sequined gowns on silk. Fine distinctions, but important to
know! So, you can either buy this gown for a great price
(probably less or close to what it cost originally to purchase), or
the other red on black Mackie gown I have for sale for $13,500! Measures:
36" bust, 25/26" waist, up to 41" hips. At 5'2" in flats it
will train, 5'4" it will sweep the ground, etc. Impossible to
measure length, but this should help. Excellent, near mint
condition.
SOLD - but on display in Museum Category for Research/Display
