1960's PIERRE
BALMAIN, Paris White Heavy
Cotton Brocade A-line "Daisy" Gown! I don't have to tell
you what this cost new! Great label on a lovely white gown that
would be fabulous for a 1960's non-formal vintage wedding dress!!
Looks lovely on... I know because I try almost everything on to
check measurements, and sometimes I spend more time that I should in
certain dresses. I had to force myself to take this off! Fully lined
in silk feels SOOOO good on.. feels like a bridal dress should! Like
fine lingerie! Meticulously made with a double zip back. Excellent
condition with just minor issues... especially for a white vintage
dress. No yellowing! No dirt! Just some extreme minor dinginess of
the ecru gauze behind the daisy embroidery. It's so hard to know how
much is dingy, and how much is just that it's ecru. The only real
issue is one tiny spot on gauze under one bust. Again, it's a minor
spot, but it's what keeps it from being nearly perfect. I'm sure a
talented dry-cleaner can handle it. Most people wouldn't even
mention it! Measures: 36" bust, up to 30" waist, up to 38" hips, 59"
long from shoulder to hem. Remember how rare to find a vintage white
designer gown in wearable condition!
