#3762 - c. 1888 Ecru Bengaline Fabric Bustle Wedding Gown Smothered in Lace and Dripping with Ribbon Streamers! From the still fashionable Michigan Avenue of Chicago, comes this heavy ecru bengaline bustle wedding gown with all over very well made machine lace. Really.. the lace is all over the front and sleeves of this gown! Look at the close-up photos. You have to see the details! The asymmetric drapery and swagged streamers give it high-style. Excellent condition... even has the original sheer chiffon neckpiece so often gone. Even has the original bustle pad at back and bustle wires in the skirt portion! I photographed it with an additional bustle under, and could probably do with a better underpinning than I gave it. It's a ONE-PIECE gown as the bodice is attached to the skirt (but opens at the front), with the long train as part of the back bodice! Measures: 30" bust, 23" waist. If you want a wearable bustle gown, if you can fit into it... this gown is quite strong and clean... and, no question.. gorgeous! Rare to find a gown with all the original trimmings and underpinnings still attached!
SOLD - but on display in Museum Category for Research/Study
