#3743 - c. 1960's RUDI GERNREICH 3-Piece Gold Metallic Knit Top, Micro MiniSkirt and Pants! I can't believe I found this ensemble with all three pieces still together! Lucky me... and now lucky you! The influential and avant-garde California designer Rudi Gernreich made a name for himself with his topless bathing suit of 1964. Gernreich designed a well-known and collectable line for Harmon Knitwear, and these three pieces are from that line. There is also the "Apropos" store label. The three pieces are made of a stretchy gold metallic knit fabric. The top is plain with a straightline hem (which can be worn tucked in or out). The miniskirt and pants have contrasting waist-to-hip panels of metallic black and gold striping, diagonal on the front, and horizontal on the back! The micro-mini flares slightly, the pants have wide legs. All three pieces have back zippers. All pieces in Excellent condition, near mint!! Top is boxy shape unless tucked in. A truly wearable Gernreich outfit! (OK, the skirt's a bit short, but I hear short is back in! :)
