#3539 - c. 1912 Ecru Silk Edwardian Wedding Gown! These lovely ecru silk wedding gowns are getting harder to find - especially the ones with the sought after high neck. Gorgeous shape with a low bodice "v" inserted with lace and pearl beading. Long trained skirt with the openfront overskirt with fabulous buckle decoration at mid low skirt back. This one was beautifully preserved, especially at the hemline, as someone basted a dustcover over the entire hemline to keep clean. Measures 33" bust, 24/25" waist, 60" long in front from shoulder to hem, 12" neck. Cotton lined with underarm shields which has left underarms perfect. Excellent condition with just a few minor issues. Loss of tulle at neck (you won't know or care). The decorative chain stitching on the bodice is darkened on one side. You could easily cover with a row of pearls or lace. And there is minor ripping at the stress points of the bodice pleats. The issues are extremely minor. The gown is fabulous!
SOLD - but on display in Museum Category for Research/Study
