#2705 - c. 1930's Made In France Sheer Gold Sequined Gown! I've had a few of the finest beaded and sequined gowns from the 1920s with the "Made in France" label, but I have never seen one from the 1930's... until now. From the era of Maggy Rouff, Vionnet, Louiseboulanger, Molyneux, Lucien Lelong, Schiaparelli, .... who knows what label might have fallen off this gown! It's certainly worthy of a designer label. Body skimming gold silk net covered with gold sequins in little floral designs. Two tiered skirt dips in back. Very low open back with cluster of original brown and orange velvet flowers. Sexy unsequined net at waist at front! Needs a nude colored slip under. Excellent condition with just one problem. There is a dark stain at the front which probably had a matching velvet flower at that spot, which is now gone. Extremely hard to measure, since it's bias cut and has some stretch to the net base. But looks great on my 35", 25", 36" mannequin.
SOLD - but on display in Museum Category for Research/Display
