#2698 - c. 1912 Museum Quality Opulent Pink Silk Trained Evening Gown with Lace and Beading! A magnificent and very regal circa 1908 lady's one piece pink satin silk evening gown with a long statuesque line. The bodice is overlaid with Valenciennes lace with a squared white tulle trimmed neckline. Bronze metallic seed-size beadwork at the chiffon capped lace sleeves, on front and back of the bodice. Accented at the shoulders, one with a pink satin drape, the other with a pale pink chiffon with three rosettes. The trained fully bias cut skirt is also accented with an intricate shirred and coiled rosette at the back of the draped waist. A back European type hook and eye closure. An asymmetrical draped and pleated band with a rear side bow and streamer. The bodice is satin lined and stayed at the front, sides and back for a willowy effect. Measures: 34" bust, 25" waist, up to 36" hips, 46" long from waist to hem in front and 55" long in back creating train. In Excellent condition, with minor lining shatter, most at the armscyes. A few pin dot holes to the upper chiffon sleeve and skirt when shown up to light. A small stain on the left sleeve, and a few very light small spots to the train and dusty soiling to the hemline. I'm being extremely picky for most of this! The hem soiling is really the only issue. Rare pink silk gowns are highly prized!
