- c. early 1960's
YVES SAINT LAURENT Very Early "Little Black Dress". I can't guarantee, but this could be from Yves Saint Laurent's first collection in 1962 prior to the opening of his ready-to-wear label Rive Gauche in 1966. If not his first year, it's certainly one of his earliest pieces with the old label design and definitely of an early 60's dress styling. Fine black crepe trimmed with peau de soie ribbon in great cross oval design ending in a simple knot. interesting pleated detail at waist sides. 3/4 sleeves length. Measures: 36" bust, 28" waist, 36" back collar to hem. Excellent condition. A must for any true collector!
